The idea of sailing the Norwegian coast in winter is absolutely crazy (from my point of view) - but to see you enjoying it is even more crazy. Stay safe and enjoy your adventures!
This is so wonderful footage that you have recorded from your trip. It shows so much that you are loving nature I have worked for a Norwegian company and they are amazing people. It is amazing that you still can do videos while you are sailing in such conditions. Thank you so much for this!!
@@IgorStropnik Igor my father is from the island of Rab I am pretty sure you know this island. Are you also teaching people? My biggest fishing ship was a 31 ft which I had for a few years when I lived in Dubai. Now I am looking to get a sailboat…old man - small adventures :-)
"You can put this thing in water and also not move" omg, you are hilarious. YT algo suggested your how to sail for beginners, that's where I'm at, and I can't thank you enough for it as it didn't freak me out with the lingo or proper terminology like beam reach etc but made it easy to visualise/understand the physics of sailing. Don't stop teaching. You are a natural teacher and the crocks are super cool. Happy adventures and thank you!
Great stuff man! I really enjoyed this and your last viedeos. I am from Norway myself, have sailed a dinghy the whole coast from north to south. Now you inspire me for some whinter sailing! 😎🤩🇳🇴
Igor, absolutely loved your video. You, my friend, are a man's man. I have backpacked all over the American west and experienced a fair amount of winter camping. I know the difficulties firsthand. Add dinghy sailing to the mix and you are off the charts! I've owned multiple Lasers, Tasers and a 505 in my youth and your film brought back many fond memories. Though my memories are always in a warmer climate : ) Nothing in sailing gives back more feedback than a dinghy, especially a high performance one. I now own a J/28 but after watching your small boat videos, my urge to sail small has been rekindled. Keep up the good work, bless you for your efforts and stay safe. Best regards from Virginia
Sailing on a box of matches, while it is snowing, all alone, far up north, and diminishing the value of adventure just because he's using electronics... Just awesome... Thanks for this video and adventure. I lived in Bergen for about a year... at times you didn't have time to put on your jacket you'd get wet... than it would just be sunny again... :) what a weather...
Nice video, small boats can be fun and adventurous. An alternative to your rock tied on the rope as a jammer, is to tie a monkeys fist knot. but nice sailing.
This is like modern day exploration and survival. Absolutely crazy, but so nice to see it is possible! You don't see this in TV... Thanks for your inspirational work, adventures and editing!

Hey Igor, This sailing is another level. Crazy! Planning with family to sail in a cat in Crocia. I’ve been following your channel since before I decided to by a Lagoon. Do you suggest any local charter? Thanks! Good vibes man!
Great adventures Igor! After sailing many different dinghy’s, what type would you say you enjoy the most in arctic conditions? I live in Tromso, Norway.
I live in Portugal, by chance I wanted to purchase a xenon but it is difficult to find one. If you happen to know of something for sale and if you remember, tell me something. Big hug and good winds
@@IgorStropnik Out of curiosity, what is the most negative point or points in relation to xenon?Could you indicate some models of boats that you think are most suitable. I've ridden the xenon once, I liked it, but I haven't ridden it in many others, so my question
Thinking about doing some dinghy camping after watching your really cool videos. I wonder if you have any advice on picking a dingy. Do you have any opinions on which dinghy has the best combination of storage capacity, speed, simplicity, comfortable and can be righted after capsizing. I've sailed a laser quite a lot and it has good performance and looks like you can store things inside the hull (but its relatively heavy). We have rs zests at our school but they are very sluggish. The RS Aero looks nice and light but seems to have limited storage capacity. I could buy a laser 2 but it seems relatively hard to rig, kinda heavy to land, and might be tippy for one person (like the topaz it might capsize easier in big gusts.
man, I've been waiting for a video like this for years since your last winter sailing video in Norway! Thanks for sharing

@@IgorStropnik If you do another Norway winter trip would you use a Hobby Cat instead of a monohull?
I would try Hobie 16 or 14. But there are big gusts from valleys so very challenging in small boat.

Navionics, offline.
