The ending, so relatable haha
Haha yes it is very common :)
Ha, the ending. she’s such a kidder. I just love these vids. I’m a sucker for handsome handy men in socks & sandals + woodworking. 😅 Flip flops and sweatpants next time please! 😝
“I haven’t sharpened my chisels in a while so I need to buy new ones!”
Yea that sounds about right for me l too lol
"About What?!" Lol. Great looking work.
Thanks 👍
Ending got me 😆
I could feel the nordic pain on every hour 😊
a lot of it :)
😂
Last few sec was Gold xD
I´ll let her know :)
🤣 - "about what" - awesome!
I had a very hearty chuckle at the end of the video. A++.
I'm a retired engineer. When I was working, I had to estimate schedules once in a while (I tried to get another sucker). We used to joke around that to estimate a job, guess how long it will take, double it, then increase the units. For example, if you think something will take a week, make it two weeks, then increase it to two months. Sometimes it wasn't far off. There's often not enough is known about the project to even do that well.
The magnetic dust collector connectors are awesome, aren't they?
There are always so many unknowns in a project. Oh yeah, the magnetic dust collectora are great
'An old Swede turned ninety-eight, he won the lottery and bought some birch ply the next day'
0:59 Alanis Morissette reference
Ain't it always so? Nice make.
Great video from a fellow Scandinavian. Who needs ikea when we have the Swedish Maker... Lol.
Love the ending... Typical wives... Never appreciates the hard work us makers put in to the things they get to enjoy... 😂
hahaha thank you!
That ending!! 🤣
It's a good one :)
Lol. Love this comment: "Sudoku workshop". I feel your pain brother! // If they are the circle fuses, you could do what my Dad did when we ran out, just jam a penny in there. If they are bar fuses, a chunk of copper pipe works great.
Haha that is a good trick 😃 thanks!
I just want you to know that you have one amateur subscriber from now on. Cheers from Croatia!
LOL!! "About WHAT!!" so funny - good job, we all liked it 🤭
Thanks a lot!
I guess I have to watch again!
😂
Well done! I like the way you tell stories with your videos.
Thank you very much!
@@TheSwedishMaker by the way, does that saw have a part to limit the starting current? (Google translates the german word to "startströmbegränsare")
I think it does have that, but not entirely shure. I might have to look into it
Beautiful result 👏🏻. Got really nervous when seeing that you where using a chisel facing towards your hand 😬.
thanks! Oh yes - Im basically a chisel virgin, but the only injuries from this project was cutting myself on the sharp wood after milling it
Mat Estela have made a great chisel instruction video. It really did sharpen my chisel technique 😉. Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰. Keep the awesome videos coming
Nice work! Try using a slower fuse. One of the machines (probably the table saw) I drawing a high amount of amps for a fraction of a second when starting. The slower fuse will not go in this short time frame and therefore everything stays on. If you use rcbs instead of fuses, you can use a C characteristic. This does the same as the slow fuse. If you have any question, feel free to ask.
Great video as always the cabinet looks great. Love the ending lol
hey! thank you!
Hahaha best ending ever 😂
It´s just part of life :)
oooooo the end was BRUTAL
It felt really brutal :)
I definitely feel the struggle of constantly blowing fuses in my garage 😂
Haha oh yes it is so annoying. I might have to get one of those batteries
Well done! 👏🏼 And loved the ending 😅
Thanks Are! Hope to see you in Oslo for the Skaperfestival
@@TheSwedishMaker Ahh, would have loved to be there, but I missed the deadline!
I'm all into this ❤❤
Haha thanks mate!
You make excellent videos, you should direct movies too!
Haha thanks!
I totally feel your pain about working in a small area and dealing with lights and cameras! Glad the light wasn't damaged, I know they aren't cheap!
thanks! Oh! I will have a look at your videos then!
I realised I had already watched your videos and subscribed! Great stuff!
@@TheSwedishMaker Thank you! I appreciate that!
Nice job , laughed at the end 🙂
Thanks mate!
WOW! Brilliant ending aren’t wife’s so funny at times????
This maybe the best video you have made, such fun!
Why on earth after all the searching did you end up with a workshop that was too small? I thought this was No1 / No2 priority??
Bob
England
thank you Bob! haha this is just a temporary workshop until I can build out a bigger one - I will have to work on the floor for a while
Also, Adam Savage's One Day Builds - they always take longer than a day 😄 nice try though!
Haha loved the end! My wife would have had the same reaction :)
😁
Great video Pierre and great guest appearance by Julia what a star!!!
Keep up the great work and thanks for the mention
thanks Steve! Yes, Julia did a great job :)
Hour 1 - Scorpions
Isn't it ironic - Alanis Morissette
Good Riddance - Green Day
A Beautiful Mess - Jason Mraz
In Time - Mark Collie
Probably missed a bunch, my focus always digressed back to the woodworking...
Hope someone surprises you with a couple songs you mentioned unintentionally ;D
You got the three I thought about myself and then Mark Collie as well 😃 great stuff!
Great format, please more challenge videos!!
Ill keep em coming, thanks!
The reaction in the end made me laugh...nice story telling. Best regards
Thank you!
Great video. Had me laughing for a very long time. Oh, and great looking cabinet.
Thank you
Hi 👋, well done nice job, shame we didn’t get appreciated, I know the feeling very well, 😂 Phil from the moulin
Happens all the time :)
@@TheSwedishMaker Hi 👋, approximately 18 years I put into a relationship, working all the hours I could possibly do, to restore and rebuild, two properties, one in UK and one in France, just to find at the end of the day, I was being used, no appreciation whatsoever, and 2019 I ended up leaving, I now live by myself in remote part of France, I still have most of my woodworking machinery, and at my age, I’m actually thinking of going back to work, I am in my 70s, keep up the great work, Phil from the moulin
Oh man! It sounds like you are still very enthusiastic about woodworking and I hope I´ll have the same feeling when Im your age.
@@TheSwedishMaker I have enjoyed my career in the woodwork in building trade, as they say, time flies when you’re having fun, I must admit I’ve had good times and I’ve had bad times and I’ve had seriously good times, just to find out that my female ex partner has scammed me, and try to take my business and all my equipment away from me, and believe it or not, she’s even got my niece and husband all involved, as they thought they were going to get a very nice beautiful holiday home to come to frequently, free of charge, She has now even managed to discredit me over in France, people that I thought were trying to help me. I’ve now turn their back on me., and been slandering my name, and even to a point where they’re telling me that I need to sell up and move back to the UK or move out of the area, this is what English and French society is like when I have been manipulated into believing something that is untrue, I have been 100% loyal and faithful to her, even to this day. I had noticed that things weren’t quite right a few years ago., but I just put my time and effort into my work, which I fully enjoyed, one of my biggest problem is, I cannot speak French, and I do not communicate with other people because I do not trust them, because of what’s going on, a very strange thing happened last year, apart from me having a heart attack in the end of March, somebody that I had known for years, he was living by his self, he too, is in his late 60s, 70s, and he introduced me to a friend that he had met a female, that he was hoping to move in with, I noticed that he was using her, they ended up, splitting up, and she contacted me in. I think it was July the day after I had a barbecue with people that I thought of my friends., and she told me a few things about what was going on and not to trust any of them,
I’ve even now been told that I need to go to the police and report what is going on ,
As I have been physically and psychologically , and mentally been by her and her friends ,
and I’ve even been set up to the point where I have had my iPhone and iPad tracked , without me, knowing.
Sorry to unload all this on you, Phil from the moulin.
Great ending 😂 I guess you could have used milled lumber to size. But where is the drama in that. 😉😜
Exactly! Always looking for drama 😅
priceless: about what? hahaha
I only got Alanis "Isn't it Ironic", and Green Days "Time of your life" (good riddance).
Great cabinet, funny wife.
Thats two out of three. Good job. The last one was a hard one :)
Skipped to the end and wow it looks great!
Thanks a lot!
Cool project.
And really sympatic, that your wife didn't recognize your 2-day-work. 🤣
Thanks!
I have noticed that while we seem to have about 180 degrees of view, we only seem to be usually zoomed in on what we are thinking about.
that's the curse of being a human I suppose
I feel like you could benefit from some kind of wall-mounted work surface that you can fold back for extra room in the shop. Working surfaces look pretty limited, and that might be one way of increasing the amount, without losing out on floor
That is a good idea! 😃
I just took my wife out to the camper trailer to show her the new floor cabinets. The response was less than enthusiastic. More of a "humph".
😂 glad aim not alone
Great result in one day! I have to ask though... does your table saw blade not go lower? I know you have a guard but I would be happier if it protruded only just above your work material
thank you! and your absolutely right. I usually keep it lower but I must have been to frustrated with the electricity to notice it
Is that an axminster craft planer thicknesser?
Yes it is :)
Are circuit breakers common there? Thosse might be a good next project!
one older houses they are :)
@@TheSwedishMaker Sorry, I may not have explained that well. Circuit breakers are more modern versions of fuses. They look like a switch. When overloaded, they "pop" and switch off. You can then just turn them on again. I was suggesting replacing your fuse box with circuit breakers.
So i looked for the banggood link, Did not find it, could you please place it again?
And the reaction of youre wife.......yeah, i know 😂
Great cabinet, well made!!
Sorry! Will fix the link
Thank you sir@@TheSwedishMaker

Found it! Thank you@@TheSwedishMaker
😂 ❤❤
Even she didn’t see the cabinet, she would have smelled the Rubio, minimum 1 week of stinking in such a small room (without accelerator it’s much longer)
our entire home smells of Rubio all day long. Not spons...oh no that's #sponsored
@@TheSwedishMaker same here, this finish is so simple to use, even my customer’s home smells the Rubio from my workshop 😉 greeting from France
Wood working with extra anxiety
Indeed
Du kan inte snuva oss på reaktionen!!! 😂.
Vad använder du för klinga i bordssågen?
Just nu har jag originalklingan som kom med sågen
@@TheSwedishMaker jaha ja. Den var röd så jag misstänkte diablo :D
🤣
Nice video, but try to showcase a bit more emotion in your voice… It will help the amount of views. Good luck!
Thanks!
do you still use fuses in Sweden???
I wondered to. But he did say the electrics need to be upgraded.
yes we do =) newer installations are made with the automatic switch-fuses though
ahahahahahaha
