  • Trash cans are boring. The only fun thing is to try and throw a piece of paper to see if you can hit. I plan to change that with this encouraging trash can made out of trash.

I'm not sure the 30mm limit mattered on this, since the whole mould is less than 30mm thick. The buckets aren't insulated, so heat should dissipate just fine even if you poured the whole thing at once.

You can name a vacuum chamber out of a large plastic tub, add a one way valve, some putty blue-tack or similar to make an airtight seal and a perspex / polycarb top. voila. use a vacuum bag pump to extract the air.
    its that easy.

In summer I make along the similar lines bowls for icecream like that: Nest two similar bowls of different size & tape them fixed, fill the remaining cavity with slices of fruit or a collection of herbs and (not too poisonous) flowers, then fill with water (possibly tinted, with tea or food colour) and freeze. This keeps your ice nice at an outdoor party for longer. NO PLASTIC NEEDED, and CHEAP.

Super cool. Epoxy gets yellowish and even honey like in color real quick from UV. Perhaps you should coat it with some UV proof clear coat, or are there any polishing waxes with UV protection? I'm surprised that much epoxy didn't exotherm and get really hot, that's what happens when I mix up that much at a time... BTW epoxy doesn't 'dry' it cures, well, same difference I guess, it certainly is dry after curing...

Ha, nice! Did you worry at all about the heat from the epoxy melting the plastic bucket? I know when I mix in Solo cups, the curing heat warps them pretty good. I mean, it doesn't look like it did warp them, but were you worried?

    • @TheSwedishMaker

Why didn't you use PCBWay to have a PCB made for your sound project? The white development boards are really bad. At least use perf board and solder wires to the components. I used copper-clad and an X-Acto knife eto make lands, until I discovered how cheap and fast PCBWay was. If I had to do several turns to get everything right, it still saved a fortune.
