  • What is Forscan, how does it work and what does it do. Forscan is a open source program that lets you interact with you vehicle computer. It allows you to change some perameters, activate and deactivate some features you want or don't. this will work with most Ford products, Lincoln, Mazda and so on as long as it's Ford. This is not a program for Chevy or GM or other manufacturers not intertwined with Ford. There will be a link below where to get the OBD II to USB cord and a simple how to on the where to get Forscan, how to activate it and what it looks like. #afflink #affiliate

Thank you very much for taking the time. Being so clear and articulate. This is a big help for many, many people who have benefited and not commented. Again a huge thanks!!!!

Nice! Quit driving Fords years ago but nice to see this works on 2014 Mazda! A new toy to play with as I already have several scanners.

Can I use it to program a replacement ABS module on a 2001 Ford F150?

I'd give it a shot, you should be able to put the vin in and see if it accepts it. If not a smaller scan tool may do it. I used my regular scan tool to do an abs module in a 05 taurus.

The description says "open source", but that implies it's available on github or some other repository for the source code.
    Link please?
