I love that these scammers basically spend probably 90% of their work hours getting cussed out without even getting the satisfaction off saying anything back because the people hang up too quickly.

Remember too, there's nothing off limits to what you can say. These people deserve the mental anguish they put on others, so make it your mission to give them that.
Next time you get a scam call, pick up and tell them the worst things you can think of. It's a great way for you to vent, and the people getting hurt by that are literal parasites, so it's a win-win.

The dead giveaway is always the Indian accent. It's so thick, you can cut it with a knife. I don't understand, how after hearing a single scammer, people don't catch on faster. You should know it's a scam call, just by the content of the recording. If any pre-recorded call, manages to worry you, that you have to act quickly to protect your money or yourself, I guarantee you it's a scam. I on the other hand continue to answer these calls, just to psychologically break down the scammers, and do my best to ruin their day.
I'm impressed by how many people they can scam. If you hear the accent, and they seem to have it 99/100 times, it's obvious. On top of it, no legitimate service ever asks for bitcoin or gift cards or has you personally input any amount of anything while connected to your machine nor do they ask to connect to your machine for anything. I'm aware that most of people who fall for it are older and not tech savvy but again, the accent!

The start of the problem was US companies using India call centers for warranty, tech support etc. They send out millions of emails and calls per day, it's a numbers game.
I believe Mark Rober did a video explaining why the elderly fall for it so easily. If they lost a spouse recently or someone yelling on the phone can make you very vulnerable. That's why they are so rude and vulgar during these calls.

@@iactas7892 It was my Dad’s old computer. He is 69. My computer can’t have Virus. I work on Linux which has various levels of security enabled on it. Most of the scammer try to target people of 50 or 55+ age.
People need to be aware of scammers using real business phone numbers, it is called Spoofing . BE AWARE!!
Years ago the scammer hung up on me and I wasn't finished saying what I felt needed to be said. I called the number back and was dumped into a voicemail with no greeting.
I had to go down to the police station so I could show them that number called me first. The legitimate business was not happy about the message I left and contacted the police.
Yeah even being able to prank call with a number that's a legit number from like a family member for an example.
happened to me. They used a real business phone number to scam me through WhatsApp. They even had a real website.
I ran into a situation recently where the scammers spoofed a number from a local law enforcement agency.
I was at my dad’s house. He has his Caller ID setup on his tv.
We were watching American Pickers or something when his home phone number popped up on the screen.
We had a good laugh and I answered the phone and toyed with the guy for a few minutes. Just played dumb about everything until he got frustrated and hung up.
The first guy that you saved probably have the story of his life to tell. You just made his day. And of course, all of our day. Unfortunately not for the scammers haha.

I wish it would be true but probably will never happen. Created a section mean more resources money and material which result a higher tax. Government entity have regulations and procedures to follow, you can't just penetrate foreign computers at will. It could be considered privacy breach or cybercrime at other country. It's best that he made video as crowdfunding model, may be co-operating with other youtuber like Jim Browning to take down scammer on a larger scale.

Looks like you’ve yet to find the ones that actually take down these call centers… And unfortunately I can’t supply you with the names of their channels because scammers watch these channels too, and thus it would be helping their research if I were to name the more effective channels.

Wow! That's the exact voice of the guy that repeatedly leaves threatening messages about my arrest. I laugh every time he leaves a message. I never thought I'd hear that voice in a video. He must leave an incredible amount of messages on a lot of people's phones. I doubt his success rate is high, but he doesn't need it to be. He just needs a small amount of people to do his ridiculous scam to his benefit. When an app is eventually made that can electronically mask his accent, he and other scammers will be able to bump their numbers up.
for what it's worth they do all sound the exact same. and even if their accent was able to be masked, their english is so bad that they still won't be convincing as actual americans at all to anyone remotely intelligent or aware of scams. they make so many mistakes, use so many odd and unnatural phrases, they all use the exact same odd and unnatural phrases, etc.

It's sad but it has already gave a bad reputation. Everyone I talk to says they just hang up if they hear an indian accent no matter what call center it comes from.
This is exactly what has happened. Here in the states scamming is synonymous with India. It is unfortunate because I know a lot of highly intelligent and moral people from India.
Agreed, I just put down the phone everytime i get call from "authority" or company no matter what accent.
@@travwinner2 A friend of mine called his bank using the pho# on his bank app. When he heard an Indian accent he immediately hung up and contacted the fraud alert link.
It’s sad how scammers overshadow the good people of the same nationality.
That happens because their authorities do not want to step in and do something about it.
The authorities certainly get paid to look the other way when there are cities with neighborhoods and fancy buildings with floor and floors of scam call centers. When the minority overshadow the majority it simply indicates that those who have power to shift the balance have an interest in maintaining the current balance.

I was scambaiting and my vm got hit by that hidden remote control software. It embeds itself into the app data folders and in other hidden directories on the drive. It is very invasive and immediately takes control of your machine.
That was a large operation, be awesome to get the whole place!

What keeps surprising me is that they hear all that heavy accent and still buy into it.
Well, America being an meltingpot, there will be people from different parts of the world with different accents. And one generation onwards, people may have very American sounding names, but still have an accent.

If they used actual names from their original countries people would believe them more and most of them tend to be rude leads to people finding out it’s a scam
