Why is not telling you to watch out for men who cannot and do not want to PROVIDE and PROTECT? If he is so good a bishop, why does he skip this very important part about a good man? Black women are the only race of women taught not to expect a man to look after them. We are taught to always have struggle love and look after a man and not the other way around. This HAS to stop now. No more struggle love. No more breadcrumbs from sub standard useless males.

Mom's need to let go of their grown sons as well. Stay out of their marriage or relationship so they can grow up. Also don't advice you son to walk away from his children. This is a great summary of how to look for someone with emotional maturity. If you've only been exposed to emotionally immature people it maybe hard to spot. I would love to know your take on how people who grew up with emotionally immature parents and family members can spot healthy people without them seeming completely alien. What to do when what's good for you feels unfamiliar? and how to trust that and how we can grow emotionally ourselves.
