- In this episode of the Create Mod Minecraft series I built an item sorting system for unloading items from our train! I also connect this up to our new storage system.
I also spent a lot of time building you guys' ideas from the previous episode including upgrading our nether portal and adding some details to our main train station!

I can understand your opinion by deciding to build the crane and everything else instead of the garden idea keep up the great work😄
Make a butchering factory where all living beings are being butchered alive and should give unlimited food
I love the factories and the crane. The nether portal looks very futuristic. It gave me the idea that perhaps you could make a futuristic style science labratory with tons of pipes and gears coming out of it. And maybe you can use it to make potions inside of?
Upgrade your Armor and you can change the colour of water wheel by right clicking on it with the plank
For the vaults, instead of the conveyor belt monster you made you should have a single belt into the building and filter items right at the vault input.
Just use a funnel with filters of each type of wood

At 10:40 with the wood storage and the conveyor belt monster. Me screaming in agony "use one belt with brass funnels with a filter"
12:25 you dont need to make this monstrosity of belts, just put one belt and put filters in the brass funnels
A single belt line along the wall with the 4 tunnels filtering off each wood to a vault would have been so much simpler.

An idea for the nether portal: maybe you could add some pipes sticking out from the tanks, add some lava to the tanks and add some hidden campfires to look like steam. Would kinda improve the steampunky vibe.

Add a New Mod: "Create Steam n' Rails" and then connect the bogeys with Train Couplers "It Looks Cool than having blocks".
And with this Mod you can add slabs on Rails to make them Look Cool.
you should put steam engins at the second floor of the ware house(they look really cool and generate a ton of stress meaning you can remove all the water wheels in the factorys)

You could totally use the Create motion blocks to make that crane fully functional.

I recommend you to use a texture pack called "Ashless campfires". What is does is that it removes the ash from extinguished campfires.
Not sure if its part of your create mod, but drawers might have been better for storage
Storage Drawers isn't part of Create mod. That's separate mod🤔

You should make a small passenger train to make it easier to get around or A passenger cart to the already existing train
You should used Chipped to add texture to the bricks and stone bricks in the building. (For the stone bricks directly use stone, not stone bricks at the mason table) Great series!
Tip for create mod, always build the device first, then the structure. not only do you give yourself more leeway to figure out how to make the contraption work and experiment with making it look good but it gives you a base to make the building to scale since some contraptions WILL get pretty big.
Also install create: Diesel generators it’s more power than water wheels, windmills and steam engines for less space and a simple sugarcane farm can make it self sustaining.
Loving this series. I know I said this a few videos ago, but have you thought about drawers for storage instead of chests as they show and tell you how many of the item is in it.
You can rotate gearboxes with the wrench to make them into vertical to help building, hope it helps!
Item frames are entities and can give you lag.
you should make a power plant somewhere near the train system (or could be another building for the city) and use that to power everything. keep up the good work!

Great video. I don't know if you have it installed, but there is a comforts mod that adds sleeping bags that don't reset your spawn point when you sleep.
You should make a small train or monorail to the nether portal. Maybe a monorail system around the base.

You should build a big custom welcome sign to have at the start of your videos, or for an entrance to your area.

You can use up to 8 toolboxes at the same time, you can dye and name them in an anvil. The button in the middle will also send back all items defined in the toolbox back into it (up to 4 stacks). By default the radius of the toolbox is rather small, but you can change that in the config to something like 30 or 50 blocks, which makes them really great!
make the crane in the oval huge (so it could be used to build all of the factories) and fill the whole space with it, it would look really cool
I think it would look nice if you changed the water wheels by the nether portal to either crimson or mangrove wood, think it might fit better wit the nether esthetic. Tbh birch might work too.
I think An easier way to do the vault filters prob would’ve been to put the filters on the vaults instead of sorting at the entry of the building and then just having 1 long track go by the vaults and the filter will only pick up the specified wood type as it goes by and the rest will continue on until getting to their destination (hope that makes sense)
Doing belt system underground will make the build look nicer 👌
You can add andesite scaffolding under the vaults to make them look extra nice.

An idea for your storage warehouse is instead of one chest rack and leaving a gap, you could rather have two chest racks facing other ways and leaving a gap and repeating the process, anyhow worth the dedication my friend.

Disruptive I think you should make an automatic farm or maybe a cool like gears and cogs storage room or something. maybe even build a second train just for you personally to get around the base.
20:00 if you want to give the crane some life. look at the sequenced gearshift. you can program movements of shafts, eg. turn clockwise 30 degrees then back. having a few of these, some redstone links and the mechanical bearings you could create believable movement. would recommend figuring it out in a creative world first
You should build a recreation of Rapture from Bioshock and/or Castle Brenenburg from Amnesia The Dark Descent!
I think it's high time you made the bends and slopes in the railway smoother 😅 Just hold the sprint key (I believe the default is CTRL) while placing down tracks and it will automatically place them in the smoothest possible way.

You'd save on belts and hassle a lot if you put a brass funnel on the vault directly with the item to filter for, with a single belt feeding those funnels. Then at the building entrance you can do the split between wood/iron/etc. with the split funnels and a list filter on each to get all the wood stuff onto the proper belt. In the same vein you can just have a single belt running around the walls (and upstairs) to feed all the items, have brass funnels on each vault with filters, and have one "overflow" vault where anything you aren't filtering ends up going.
Can you make a green garden bedside your industrial area. I think it will add more color.

i get sleep paralysis sometimes but mine are always so mundane hahaha like once i had one where i was lying in bed and my landlord came into my flat and was telling me that everything was too messy and i couldn't open my mouth to explain why, i was just lying there going "mmmhhhhmmmm!!! hhghhhghhhh!!!!!"

I think powering everything with water wheels is unpractical and you should use steam engines. Also, imo it would be way cooler to have a cabin in the train to travel rather than your horse.

kinda unrelated to minecraft but yeah man i get the whole sleep paralysis and insomnia thing and it sucks. try taking melatonin occasionally or wearing a sleep mask, it’s helped me occasionally

In create you can craft andisite scafolding with andasite aloy in a stone cutter.
For your sleep paralysis, sounds like what you "saw" was 'The hatman'. It's extremely creepy to hear that different people can hallucinate the same thing, all over the world. I've only experienced sleep paralysis once, and I did see this same phenomenon or whatever it is then. Do not want to experience that again, that's for sure...
Hey distributive here's an idea what if u made a crop farm with a tractor as decoration and what if u added a industrial styled furnace in one of your builds also what if u added excavators and cranes and other construction vehicles at a construction site type build (sorry the comment was so long by the way)😅

You could build an overly complicated sorting system in the attic of your storage and use the create arms to put the items in the shelve chests below. Not sure if it would work, but with some complicated pre sorting it might be possible that you can use the arms without having a filter funnel on the chests
edit: as you now have toolboxes, you could use them in the selves instead and preset them to what is in it, this would make the auto sorting with the mechanical arms even easier
