If there’s just one single positive to Johnny’s and their interaction with Tsuburaya, it’s their immediate shootdown of the idea of Daigo being GUTS’s song and dance man. That would’ve been an immersion breaker for sure.
Also, that Tatsuya Maeda cover of TAKE ME HIGHER is a disappointment, given that nearly all of his Ultraman songs are rock solid in my book.

Nagano loves playing Daigo because Daigo's characteristic was made based on his real personality. That's why he's very excited when reprising Daigo's role in final oddyssey and super 8 ultra brothers.

    • @pauloliver3129

Also the reason why johnny's shut down the idea of Daigo character singing and dancing on screen because johnny's doesn't want Nagano to be overshadow than other V6 members. But the real reason is because johnny's are biased to the younger half of V6 (coming century which consist Morita Go, Miyake Ken and Okada Junichi) as they promoted the coming century more than the older half of V6.

It's interesting to know these things and it still seems strange that Tokusatsu is especially marred by these types of issues, from rights disputes, to release problems, or hell even just archival efforts. It's seriously not worth the hassle if they cannot even loosen up a bit as a talent agency. I had no idea that Ultraman Tiga when through such roasting in the 90’s. I always wondered what happened to Ultraman Tiga, especially in human form, and why he never reappeared and teamed up with the other Ultras. It now makes since why Ultraman Dyna (Ashoka) and Ultraman Gaia (Gamu) we’re the only ones who came out of retirement back in 2016. Ultraman Tiga is my first and favorite Ultraman that I watched when I was in the 5th or 6th grade as I scrolled through CZcams in it’s early years. In my point of view, I always thought that Tiga was the greatest. Sure that the special effects back then weren’t as great as they are now, but I still enjoy watching the giant hero save the day and the world from giant monsters. Ultraman Trigger pays real good homage to his predecessor in his unique way. Still, I hope to see Ultraman Tiga appear again before the series is finished this, and not just as cameo. Also right now, I just hope that Tiga gets to appear in his human form to give us and the new Ultraman a hopeful inspiration. That is if Johnny’s curse is lifted first.

Reminds me of how Disney, Fox, and Sony were split between rights to the Marvel characters for almost 20 years until Disney bought Fox and made a deal with Sony. There are only two ways I see this ending is A. Eventually Johnny’s new bosses will actually make compromise and allow Daigo to return in uncut form and in the future because I doubt Hiroshi will ever upright leave the agency or B. Hiroshi retires and even though we may never see Daigo again, at least the war will be over. Either way this has to end someday sooner rather than later because it’s ridiculous, I’m sure Hiroshi wants to return as Daigo but this licensing war is making that even more impossible by the day and Hiroshi isn’t getting any younger, the man will be 50 this year.

Since this is a relatively new video racking up views, I'm gonna drop this here. Neo Frontier Ultras CAN travel through universes and worlds. Some people might know that Dyna can travel through universes as shown multiple times, but nothing's ever explicitly shown for Tiga. Well here's the catch.
If you guys ever watched X's movies, there's a Tiga stone statue keeping movie's main monster sealed, and this seemingly random dumbass kid that gets turned into Tiga. X himself said in the movie that he's one of the Ultra from other universe travelled to save X's world. Meaning what? Tiga travelled from Neo Frontier to X's universe.
Regarding his stone statue in X's world, Tiga used a fraction of his power to create the statue, so that if the time ever comes, anyone can take the Spark Lens and become Tiga temporarily. So the "Madoka only" lineage for Tiga doesn't apply to that kid. I'd also like to point out that the kid didn't remember what happened during his time as Tiga, so this fraction of Tiga in X's world is sentient and was just using the kid as a host.
