@@RoseFerrachi No, they certainly should not. Dislike buttons are very useful for say, in a tutorial video. If the tutorial is a scam or doesn't work then you can downvote it. How would you ever know if it gave you a virus, or if a video was just bad? The dislike button is a necessary function of CZcams, 3 dislikes on a video that was uploaded 24 hours ago isn't bad by any means, especially when those 3 dislike are being significantly outnumbered by the 754 likes this video received.

It is the sound of the 60's, marked by psychedelia and progressive rock ... a very well worked song, with a lot of lyrics, many today do not understand it, they are songs to listen to and "fly"

Yes that's a complete masterpiece and it was a hit. It's as relevant today as it was. But Alvin Lee was a little cynic in this text. Moreover it is one of the greatest solist in rock history (see what he does in Woodstock where he stole the festival). Great reaction.

This is such a classic. One of the first songs I would teach my guitar
students. The acoustic intro is unsurpassed.
Ten Years After was one of the most unbelievably incredible live shows you would ever be blessed to see. Every show I ever saw was unique, it’s own jam session extraordinaire. The way Lee made that guitar sing just doesn’t really exist anymore. One of the best live bands I’ve ever seen.
Ten years after, still being listened to 50 years on. A decent band, from back in them far off days.

OMG.I have always LOVED this song! The instrumentals are amazing. Ten Years After was a very popular rock band back then... very relevant. Oh, yeah... lots of fond memories listening to these old tunes.
Classic Rock at it's best
I discovered this song when I was 20, back in 1990, and I fell in love with it. This song is perfect and deserves much respect for its timeless meaning and excellence. It has the classic sound of early 70's Vietnam / love Rock, but it is so good it will never go out of style.

I get so incredibly tired of comments like these. Stop lumping all of "today's music" into that small category of pop bullshit that makes so much money that it gets more playtime than anything else. There is PLENTY of extremely good music being put out there today, it just doesn't get any radio time because record companies are run by greedy fat cats scared to death that the internet will take all their money. If you actually spend even a little time looking for it, you will find really amazing stuff. But most older generation folks don't want to do that, they just want to hate the younger generation just like their parents hated them.

Changes in the 60s and early 70s came on so fast and furious, it became overwhelming at times, difficult to sort out what really mattered. Vietnam was one of the focal points and was a genuine life-and-death cauldron of questions. As many have pointed out, this song is as relevant today as it was then.

I'm 57 years old and I have loved music since I was a pre-teen, I have sang in two crappy bar bands and I am an OK guitar player and I must say, after much thought, this is the best pure rock and roll song ever, IMHO.

Saw Alvin Lee and 10 Years after in the early 70's in Tucson Az, in a very small Venue. Close to the front of the stage, felt like I was part of the concert.
Yoir reactions are exactly what mine were 50 years ago and they still are.
America was trying to get out of Vietnam, pollution was terrible, inflation and corruption were at every level in our government.
This song encapsulates what we were feeling from the Woodstock concert forward.

TYA have so many great songs. Their set at Woodstock was iconic and the live performances of I Woke Up This Morning and I'm Going Home are just amazing! I've also always loved I've Been There Too.
I was in high school when this came out. In 2022, some of the lyrics may be "politically incorrect" (except for " tell me where there's sanity"), but Alvin Lee's guitar is still a joy to listen to. Haven't heard it in 50+ yrs, so thank you, Jayvon.

I find it strange that a mega hit of the early 70's isn't known by some people today and listening to it for the first time. This song was incredibly popular back then and all throughout the last 50 years. It's been used in movies, tv commercials, stadium sporting events, etc...
And while some might find it still relevant today, it was even more relevant back then. With the Vietnam war, the Cuban missile crisis, Assassination's of JFK, MLK, RFK, Munich Olympics, Kent State protests, Oil crisis,.. so on and so forth. Things didn't look bright in the early 70's.
Members of the Beatles among many other rock Icons, were in the audience when Alvin Lee played live. George Harrison later played on one of his albums.
Their cover of "Going Home" in the movie "Woodstock" is what made me a fan of this band. My favorite songs of theirs are 1) Good Morning Little School Girl and 2) 50,000 Outside My Brain.
My older sister used to bang this tune out, she's since passed, and this reminds me of growing up with some of the best music there is and her flower power themed bedroom.... lol

That guitar sings and its wonderful to listen too, I agree with you that its incredible. I dont remember this or the band and I'm sure I would remember that fantastic guitar playing. That was wonderful and The Shadows were brilliant instrumentalists, they didn't sing but let the guitars sing for them. I'm very tired so I hope I'm making sense lol. I'm pleased you like the song. I'm from those days. The meaning behind "I'd love to change the world but I don't know what to do, so I'll leave it up to you," is that in those days everywhere was filled with protesting, and what Alvin Lee is saying is, "Count me out. I don't want to spend my time and my life doing that. Sure, I'd love to change the world too, but I don't know how to fix things anyway. I'll leave it up to you."
The intro and how the guitar tone and harmonies flow on this song are great. I recommend, I'm coming home live at Woodstock.

One of my favorite songs from this era. Alvin Lee, who is the lead guitarist, one of the most underrated Rock guitarists of all time. His band played at Woodstock right after Jimi Hendrix went on stage. I have to say I believe the music of the sixties and seventies was the best of all time, if I do say so myself LOL!
