Guitarist Alvin Lee was one of the most under rated guitarists, but he was actually one of the great ones!!!!

Alvin Lee is one of the most underrated Blues Guitarists of the 21st century. Died in 2013 Check out some of his solo work a GREAT tune he did is Bluest Blues. He was doing thing in the late 60's and early 70's that were truly innovative that NO ONE else was doing at the time.

TEN YEARS AFTER, "I'D LOVE TO CHANGE THE WORLD". This band was from England. If you want to see the band. There is some concert footage of 10 YEARS AFTER doing the song, "GOING HOME" at WOODSTOCK 1969.. Guitarest and singer of the group is Alvin Lee who recently passed away. Unfortunately like many rock and rollers of the greatest music Era ever.

It's strange to see people react to Ten Years After, it doesn't happen very much. But it popped up in my feed and I really enjoyed your reaction. And the first thing I really want to say, shout out to you for shouting out to the Vietnam vets and the high rate of homelessness with them. I was just a little kid during the Vietnam war but believe me I saw it all around me in my neighborhood, in my family, in my friends. People go away and not come back. And if they did they were really fucked up and it wasn't always just physically, sometimes it was quite mentally. And these are all people that I loved and adored, wow.
This is one of my favorite bands ever, they were slightly before my time but I got exposed to them in high school by some slightly older people and fell in love. And that song that you just did was constantly on the radio. That had a great longevity. But then I bought this album and every song on it is good, like I think I saw someone else comment.
Then I worked my way backwards to their very first albums and realized that they got their first big Global exposure when they played I'm going home, at the Woodstock festival in the late 1960s. This album came out a few years after that. But I love all their stuff going all the way back. They changed on every album and I love all their shit later than this although they didn't last very long until the 70s before they broke up.
. Alvin Lee is the name of the lead singer and guitarist and he's known for being a great guitar player. They're very British and he's very influenced by old blues but he just really brought that energetic younger rock and roll spirit too. I mean he know how to rock. And I love his voice as well.
The only other thing I would say about that is, all four of those dudes were just Masters At what they did. He was the one that got most of the attention, but the other three were Rock Solid and just blazing. And you can hear where sometimes when they improvise together, they're just so tight and they go off it's mind-blowing. They could easily hang with a jazz band if they wanted, but they could easily Blaze the best rock and roll you've ever heard. I just love this band to death. Thank you for the reaction.

I'm a Nam vet, but I'm not homeless, however there are a lot of them that are. A lot of my buddies came home all messed up. Some were shell shocked and others messed up from the agent orange or their kids are with birth defects. This song came about during the Nam conflict.

My dad rotated back to Camp LeJeune for 2 years before going back and at 10 years old I remember my friends and neighbors being the kids of a Black Marine and a German wife and a white Marine with a Korean wife. The only color we saw was olive drab or dress blue. The heartbreaker was seeing a young wife pack up her kids and possessions because Dad wasn't coming home. Watching the newscaster telling me how many families got the news that day will always be with me. I am pleased that the news didn't mention you. God bless.

Giving a shout out to the Vietnam vets, you should react to Poison singing "Give me Something to Believe in." That's their beef too.

Alvin Lee played the guitar, he was one of the 60s guitar Gods, sadly he gets overlooked in the top lists by many. The song is about the political and cultural believes of that time (and I guess they have not changed much), which make the singer not want to choose sides and leaves it up to us. First verse are the Conservatives, 2nd the Socialists, then Capitalism, and finally the Hippies. The keeps naming some of their points with are in fact the reason he does not want to be with them. Therefore he is lost and does not know what to do. As for the last part of the song, it is more of a cry to stop the them and us (as in rich and poor, black and white) and to stop the war in Vietnam.
