Oh wow, I love this reaction. And they're one of my favorite bands from that era. British. They played at Woodstock. But this album that the song is from, is called A Space in Time. And I believe that it came out around 1973. That is one of those incredible albums in rock music, like the first Boston album or the first Van Halen album, and so many others, but still there's kind of this elite grouping going on. And they were part of it for sure.
You could grab anything from this album and I bet you would really enjoy reacting to it. Or just listening to it. Every single one of the cuts. But the thing is, at least a few times they've got transitions that steadily flow from the end of one song to the other. Obviously for a radio cut they could cut that out but the sequence of this album is really cool it's part of the whole trip of it.

TEN YEARS AFTER, "I'D LOVE TO CHANGE THE WORLD". Timeless masterpiece sung by singer Alvin Lee, and his great blues Guitar. Reminds me of other iconic songs PROCOL HAREM, "WHITER SHADE OF PALE", CCR "I PUT A SPELL ON YOU", RARE EARTH, "YOUR LOVE IS FADING"... TRAFFIC, "DEAR MR. FANTASY", YES, "ROUND ABOUT".

Alvin Lee can tear it up with the absolute best of them. He should be mentioned when speaking of the better rock guitarists ever. And this is a standout song from that era. SO HIPPY!

I was kinda in a crappy mood till I watched your video 😤 I'm not that old,48, but it makes me smile too see someone fairly young truly enjoying older music. The seventies and even eighties was an amazing time for music. It'll probably never be so great again! I was born in 75,so I was literally raised on music like this.I honestly think it's a shame that some people have never nor will ever hear song's like this one and many more that I love. Thanks for the mood boost!

Alvin Lee was considered the fastest guitarist up until 1971 and he was the lead singer. Ten Years After was actually one of the few bands in the 1969 Woodstock film before this song existed.

Classic song, brilliantly done and a great reaction. The two Lees. (no relation though) Alvin on guitar and Ric on drums. Alvin gets the spotlight for good reason, but Ric was a major influence on me as a drummer. I loved his style and approach to playing.

Drums are awesome 😎 I don't play, but if I hear I song I know being done live or a drum cover I'd definitely notice any screw ups. Neil Peart is my favorite. Rush has some amazing drums!

A great song, probably one of their best. Sadly the singer (and writer of the song) never wanted to play this song live as he felt it was a pop song and he did not want to be a pop star.
It most likely was pushed by the record company that wanted a hit.
Which means that all the Ten Years After songs are a bit different from this one. Ten Years After is mostly about the blues, rock(n roll), jazz and Alvin Lee's fireworks on the guitar. However, there are gems there if you like that genre or can appreciate great guitar playing. Some suggestions:

You missed the point that this song is so relevant to today, and the problems of the world. I'm old enough to have heard it when it first came out. Has always been one of my favorites. For the tune, but mostly for the lyrics. Play it again to yourself with lyrics. Explains division, black and white, rich and poor. That is the war they want to stop.

Always liked the song but the lyrics are ambivalent at best and kind of nasty at worst. Alvin Lee's virtuosity, however, is unquestionable.
