The red switch which is all in German is the manual fire control system, fire extinguisher. Someone also left the hand brake off in the video. I had one once that tripped along at 80kmh, all depends who worked on the engine pack. It is a V10 with twin supper chargers. The drivers compartment was quite comfortable and I’m 6foot. The thing that got me was I couldn’t fully extend my left leg which doesn’t sound like much but when you’ve been in there for 10 hours it drives you nuts. Worked every station on leopard and enjoyed driving the most.
I served on this tank. Its quite comfortable, except the drivers compartment. Max hight of the driver was 1,86 m. They wanted me to be a driver, due to their messurement which said I am 1,86. But in my ID card stands: 1,87. So I didnt do and became a gunner.
How cute...the auto transmission shifter...lol Should try the manual shifter that was included in some of the ARV's. A few things, if you ever get an anomaly where the main power won't switch off, check the main charging system voltage regulator (for a bad diode), located on the left sponson, I fought with that problem for days....
I remember reading that it could go just over 100kph on roads. How true is this?
the speed limit is due to the pressure on the transmission and tracks especially if you had to slow down quickly. after all. its a 40 ton running at 50km/h which give us the momentum of 500ton/s
Same as the Aussie AS1 variant. Loved the sound of that big diesel.

Werkzeug für Fahrer means: Tools for driver
Cool thanks man!
I want one to I only have a model of it, btw the interrior looks oddly familar to our OAF 6x6 Spotting tank prototype
The tank from world of tank armoured aces
It's not place for 'ammo box', it's for the night vision (in place of front episcope)

max speed 50 km / h, but thats not true, because these tanks had a restrictor. When disabeling it this tank runs somewhere arround 80 km/h

@@rippspeck Material schonen. Es gibt nix was man mit 50km/h nicht auch ausbilden kann.

I like the danish version 1a4

Where are the drivers periscopes?
Werkzeug für Fahrer means drivers tools
What is that box on top of the canon ?
That box is the EMES 12A1 sighting system.
It is a searchlight. Clear light and infrared. Not directly a part of the EMES.
Cool thanks guys
WAS IT A CANADIAN VARIANT?
charles larsh with german labels and writing everywhere?
To my knowledge the A4 subtype was only used by germany. The A3 variant (similar welded turret) was used by some NATO forces
