    I love watching your DIY videos on deer attractants. Out of all of your recipes, what have you found to work the best for deer?

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  Před 3 lety

      really depends on where you are located, the DIY corn coat works great if your deer are into corn, early on the deer Cane works well, and to hunt over I love the stump licker

    NBWildman - I had seen some videos that a guy that tested & showed Big Tine out performed Big & J like 99% to 1% - He put them all next to each other - Big Tine was ate up Big & J hardly touched. I am going to try your homemade recipe. Thanks!

    I live in Louisiana. Where can I get the apple salt or how would you make it?

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  Před 3 lety

      if you can't get apple flavored salt you can use regular road salt and a small bottle of apple concentrate. like the kind i show in the squirrel bait video

    Ok i have made the mix now what do i do with it? Do i mix it with water? Do i mix it with soil or do i just dump it on the ground?

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  Před 2 lety

      once mixed with local soil you can spray with water if you like but not necessary

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  Před 4 lety

      that comment was from someone else, it is washing soda but it has to be specific "arm and hammer" washing soda, the ingredients should be mostly sodium carbonate.

    Do you mix your deer cane in water before putting out?
    Or just put straight on the ground?

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  Před rokem +1

      Usually I try and find on old rotting stump or logs. That works best. But the ground also works. It just doesn’t hold as long

    I have a question, I've done this recipe and worked great all summer til 2 weeks before hunting season. Both does and bucks have stopped coming overnight. I never went more than 2 days without receiving photos of deer night or day on my spypoint camera. Then nothing. Sitting at my deer stand now and the site has not been touched in 12 days. Any comments or helpful tips for me ?

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  Před 2 lety +1

      once the velvet sheds in the fall, this becomes less of an attractant, perhaps adding something sweet or different may bring them back in, look at my DIY buck Jam videos and see what you can make

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  Před 4 lety
