DIY Deer Food Plot. Suggestions welcome
No Grape jelly?
Does this attract rabbits?
How long does it last after making it in the container???
Jack mackerel always works for me, look near the tuna in your grocery store.
THANKS! Me & the kids love it! 😁
If the advice from your golf buddy doesn't work, ask your hunter buddy.
New subscriber here! Awesome stuff you got, I recently watched your wild berry jam attractant video, I have some questions, we are currently hunting white tail from the south of Mexico, what attractant do you recommend and do you suggest to spread it on top of corn or any other grain/food? Or on some rocks/salt block? Appreciate your help and content!
Very different environment from where I am. I would start pre season with salt and mineral. Then after deciding on hunt location I would use a salty bait over corn. As long as you don’t get many bears
@@NBWildman Thanks a lot for the input! No bears around here but I’ve seen a Puma and a lot of hogs, some coyotes as well. You recommend trying some of your recipes and adding extra salt? Already seen a bunch of your attractant videos and thinking of trying some out tomorrow, will share the results!
I dont know whats been eating my tomatoes . I bought a trap and put a bowl in the rear with peanuts, peanut butter , Nutella, and a chocolate chip cookie. Setting it out tonight. I may add other stuff. Just pray its not a skunk.
why not use tomatoes for bait ?
that raccoon was mad.
do u eat the raccoon?
Only if out of possum
@@mark-wn5ek Possum is too greasy , I don't care for it.
I use cake icing
Great tips 👍
I came from the wild East to the wild West.I am glad for an opportunity to learn from the best in the business.God bless for this video.
Enjoyed seeing the bears and moose! 👍 ❤
Why add the baking soda? Seems counter productive, since it can be used for cleaning and deodorizing. Also if the flour is being used strictly for a thickening agent, corn starch works better. For that matter, you just leave the thickening agent out, and melt the batch in the microwave and pour the hot mixture into small bowls or cups. After it cools, you'll have a sticky, yummy hockey puck. And all those that poo-poo the idea of using cat food because you're not trying to catch cats are idiots. Raccoons love it.
Where did you get this?
The bait is gone but he is trapped this time! That is 4 in les than a week now.
Costco rotisserie chicken skin, fat, and bones nets me coons, possums, skunks, and house cats, all undesirable trespassers.
Excellent tip! I will try it tonite! It was empty this morning and the trap didn't get released.
Great video. Thank you
How come I can't use a dog proof
Do you also have a cheap poison to put in there?
I have two of these traps and agree they are more expensive than they should be. Although I've trapped over 20 raccoons and they are both still working. Also raccoons easily pull the handles in with them and bend them to the point that they are not useful any more in carrying the trap. No problem when the trap is empty but with a full trap, especially if the racoon is aggressive, then I carry it with one hand up by the door and use a piece of curved metal, usually my nail remover, to hook at the back to keep my gloved fingers away the raccoon. Also one of my first captures was at midnight and it had started to rain. While I was going to kill the raccoon in the morning, I didn't want it sitting in the rain all night. So I threw a tarp over the trap. BAD IDEA. Came out the next morning and the entire tarp had been shredded and pulled into the trap with the raccoon. So I had a tarp full with a grown raccoon and a shredded blue tarp. It's been three years and I've still finding small shreds of that tarp in my yard. Also they will tear the earth underneath so never put the trap on your lawn. Or put something like shed metal underneath. I have some small pieces of metal roofing that fit the trap well so I often put the trap on that.
Any idea how to make this thicker more like molasses?
I caught a raccoon in a regular size live trap and that somehow got a hold of the handle and unfolded the wire turns holding it to the cage.. I would have trouble doing that with a pair of pliers
Flip frame to other side
Appreciated the video. Didn't have a problem with the length of the video. Unfortunately, our squirrels like to chew the wiring on our automobiles better than anything else.
Please tell me what the baking soda is for kind sir
It keeps the raccoon from getting gas after it eats that nasty stuff.
What happens when you are in the woods by yourself too long
Great info!
You should of planned ahead for the height of the antenna?
great review heading to Portland Maine this week I think ill try one.
20 bucks cabelas. You got screwed
US or Canada?
Can anyone recommend a good kit to buy
Cat food is a good bait too
yep, no question
@@NBWildman - Placed the bait under the trap and have nabbed two Racoons so far.
This Bait WORKS!!! I tried all kinds of different baits with zero luck. I have countless videos of coons walking by the trap without interest n everything I had tried. Once baited with this magic bait the coon made a beeline right into the trap the 1st night, the 2nd night I trapped a HUGE coon that bent, destroyed the trap and escaped! I didn’t realize that a coon was strong enough to bend metal!
Why not pour this liquid into an ice cube container, they are then ready blocks. You could half-fill them for smaller blocks as well. Great video NBWildman and thanks for the tips.
Great idea!
Will it turn my clothes white from the baking soda?
I’m going to try your bait here. I have a raccoon who’s been hanging out in my second floor around the soffits because I’m missing some of them and they have not created any damage and I’m always checking for that inside my attic, but I have to put the traps on my roof because that’s where I see them and the last time I put a trap on the ground I caught a skunk and that’s not what I want so have you ever put traps on a roof before?
