They didn't take it from him. Ari talked about this on his podcast already. He made the choice not to host it because he was too busy doing other things. He is still the co-creator. He curated the entire lineup and was part of the process of choosing his replacement the whole time. There was no stealing or firing going on.

This is probably the most fun I've ever had watching Howie.
Given my interests, it makes sense since I'm not one for talent shows and the like.
I like Roy, and I like Ari. The intro was too long as others have said. Howie's story is funny, and disgusting. I felt a little bad laughing at his miserable experience. P.S. to all the other reviewers: don't hate on another comic, just because Ari isn't hosting. I get that, and think it sucks too, but it has nothing to do with the other comics.

this was the funniest one of the season and without a doubt among the funniest of all.
I grew up watching Howies stand up. Along side Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Eddie Murphyetc, etc. I loved it. I wasn't sure if he'd still have it. He does. This was great. The setup before the story was very reminiscent of 80 comics. So excellent. I recommend watching Kevin Nealons series when Howie and him go for a hike.

If you haven’t seen Roy Wood Jr on the Daily Show check him out. He’s great. It’s a tough job to take over a successful show. Most times it doesn’t work out, but it’s not like Ari WAS the show. He’s a fantastic comedian that built something great, but fans of his and the show should be happy that he’s moving on to bigger things and give Mr. Wood a shot. That’s just my opinion.

I was just watching his HBO special from idk how many years ago (camera quality was horrible, and he had hair) and he talked about how he decided not to potty train his child, to keep them from coming home too late. The guy usually takes her home after she shits herself.
It was hard to laugh at times because I just felt really bad for Howie. He’s on stage in front of a bunch of strangers standing inches away from a panic attack :(

This is fantastic! Reminds me of old HOWIE. Saw him live in the late 90’s. He was doing the whole “my name is Bobby” stuff then. Love seeing him decades later telling a wonderful and hilarious story.

Ari created the show years before it was on tv and when he did his Netflix special he went against his ridicules contract with comedy central and so when he tried to cut ties they kept his show And they're going to slowly run it into the ground. But ari is still doing pop up shows under the name " ari's renamed storytellers show." So boycott this shit and show the wandering Jew some support!
I binge watch these on CZcams, and they're all the same quality some better, some worse, whether the host is Ari or Roy. Y'all are upset about some behind the scenes shtuff, which is fine. You're an Ari fan be loyal. But let's not pretend the show is so radically different.
