Hey Phil, yet another enjoyable and fruitful build. You are making it look so easy! That is a sign of a good modeler. Very nice work, sir. The lighting, weathering, paint, and the interior mods really take the build to another level.
You cracked me up a few times with this one. I loved the mystery piece that flew off the table… too funny. We have all been there. Btw… loved your head-mounted visor modeling show. Also, too funny.
The Sonic Sabre. I hold my breath when you use it.
Keep having fun, Phil. The longer you enjoy the process, the longer I can enjoy your channel and work.

I have been on the fence for that kit. I love how it was designed with the aesthetic from the original and your work here showed quite a bit on it. Great work sir. Thank you.

This was the only other design from the original Galactica, aside from the Galactica herself, that was worth a damn. Marginally entertaining show and who didn't enjoy watching all those capable lady pilots? For me, this version of the kit is perfect-- a great rendering of a very nice design. Alas, bigger than a bread box. Which is not necessarily a deal-breaker for me, but in this case not enough love for the shelf space.
But you-- well you've done some really nice work. I thoroughly enjoy your thought processes. As well as your mild self-deprecation. Always a sign of true inner turmoil (joke) or ultimate confidence. I would have handled the lighting a bit differently-- as warped as my eyesight is getting, I would have made a parallel circuit of wire ladder of nano-chips that would line the ceiling of both the crew compartment and the cargo bay below. Maybe add some tiny bits of tubing to hide the point-sourcyness and treat them as a series of down-spots. I would have also put some red lighting under the control consoles-- maybe even making the controls into light boxes and drilling holes in the top. A lot, sure. If that cargo hauler vehicle was solid-- either find the seam and crack it (dollars to doughnuts it was CA) or saw it in half. Then add lights, head light, top light bars and interior.
A word about MEK-- it's not magic like cyanoacrylate which is. It not only needs some area to work quickly but even some setting time. Sure you can assemble slivers of styrene (and black sty is still sty) but since the contact area is small, it takes a bit longer.
I'm delighted at the detail in this kit and you've brought it all out neatly. Still enjoy your glam shots.
I'm gonna sign off with my usual griping about the color temp of either your lighting or camers. Too "hot" and you know what I mean. Crank down those babies to 4000K/up to 6000K or by gum, get some gels to warm things up-- a) you look dead b) the outdoor slashes of light are the giveaway, they're as hot as your interior lighting. That damn California lighting, you're closer to the equator and more nearly vertical sun angle. Hot hot hot.

Another fabulous model form the Segal workshop - I suppose you could also use the Land-Ram as a battery box on this one...
    Anyway love it!

2 hours, I've been blessed. Phil I enjoy watching you and listening to you. You have a great style of presenting your videos. I grab a coffee, sit back and relax. Then enjoy your content. The model at the end looked fantastic. Battlestar was one of my favourite shows growing up. You have done the Colonial Shuttle Mark 2 justice . Thank you sharing this build Phil thoroughly enjoyed it

If the door at the back of the cabin is a pressure door then that could explain why no seats in the cargo bay, it might not be pressurized

another great model Phil your a better modeller than you give yourself credit for mate, don't know what you do with decals but in my humble opinion Keith's decals are second to non they are equal to better quality mass produced decals, again a great build love the longer video's could you let me know where you got the other decals from

I actually do hear the sonic saber when it cuts. Surprised my 62 year old ears can hear it let alone the sound arriving on video. Maybe I need to get one of those ringers only teenagers can hera! Oh, and count me among the 4 who had no idea there were paint pens for figures.

Hi Phil, the Colonial Shuttle Mark II, looks great...I always enjoy watching your builds. I stumbled across and old Thunderbirds 1965 episode, and thought about how much time, planning, and execution was involved in making a 1 hour episode. It looks like they used a lot of various scaled models, most with lights, and motors...they looked pretty technical for 1965. Have you built anything from the series, or were you planning on building one or more of the ships, possibly as a Diarama? Until next time...as always Be safe, Be Well, and Build Something.😊

I have a few kits of the dioramas but have not built anything else from thunderbirds.

It would be great to watch you build a Thunderbirds kit, or two. It might give other modelers an idea of something to build that they haven't thought about, especially those like myself who grew up in the 60's watching those shows. Maybe you would consider building another kit, or showing them on your channel before you start your next planned build. Like you said, they don't belong in a box, they should be on a shelf to enjoy. Looking forward to your next posted build Phil. Great job as always. 😊

Nice build of the Battlestar Galactica Shuttle! Greebles are a better description of adding extra detail to kits. I really like the design of the ships built for both Battlestar TV shows!

Scale is scale; it the ship is supposed to be 72 feet and the kit is 12" then it's 1/72nd...etc, etc, etc...
