- About time I did a video on the Aztecs - their mythology is a trip and ties directly into the historical practices of the Aztec warriors. From Huītzilōpōchtli to Quetzalcoatl, to Jaguar warriors making human sacrifices in order for the sun to shine and keep our world alive... Aztec mythology is awesome.

Also, as you can probably tell, for a while now my videos are a fair bit shorter than my past videos. That's simply because... all those videos that were thirty minutes to an hour long... they were taking a toll, man. I'm not gonna lie. Brilliant video like always hermano! My family is from Michoacan and the tribe that ruled there was the Purepecha tribe/empire. They were fascinating and had a rivalry with the Aztecs. Look them up if you're ever curious about them. Respects to the Aztecs. I love my Mexican roots. 🇲🇽 ✊🏼

The purépecha were actually never conquered by the Aztecs if I'm not mistaken. They even found out a bit late about the Spanish because the Aztecs asked for them to help but since they've always had been rivals they didn't trust them. I probably need to fact check cause my gets fogged over the years. I'm from puebla.
@emmanuellopez2256 Correct! The Aztecs could never conquer the Purepecha! They halted their empire's expansion towards the northwest. Proud of my Michoacan roots.

Hearing about his passing actually brought tears to my eyes, I'll be honest.

But you're videos are very entertaining, educative and well composed. Even though I know most of the topics of your videos and don't like to hear the same story twice but you find a way to improvise and make it interesting and also to learn something more that they didn't include in the movies or school books. @@user-fg3nu3ec4i the child of loki jormangander It might of been Thor that defeated him but Odin making the world out of him, but the point is in all these myths from around the world and at different points in time there is still a connection to these tales. All have a giant water serpent or reptile sometimes sea dragon and its always defeated chopped and the world is made out of it.

that would be mayan mythology - I just used footage from apocalytpo because it fit and I couldn't find anything on Aztecs specifically

It was all the bloody sacrifices that brought them down. Every other neighboring tribe fought alongside Cortez because they hated the Aztecs. In the end it only took 93 days to topple them. Sadly the writing was on the wall for these people.

Those were Mayans in the opening so you started off incorrectly.... as well as, the people you are referring to were called the Mexica ... the Azteks were a warrior caste subsection of the larger society/culture
