@A G I mean if you consider they were bred to drive prey out of their burrows, and how steep burrows can be, it's possible that a related skillset is involved.
Couple things, Awesome awesome dog, I am a bit worried for the dog, but after seeing that dog successfully bail on a fail jump broke his fall all the way down and started over i was truly impressed. Love dogs and this is one of the many reasons their so badass.
Humans free solo (hopefully) aware of the consequences. Dogs however are unaware of what happens when you fall 20 or more feet onto rock. Please get this amazing animal on belay.
Nice idea on the surface, but I'd imagine it would cause her to gain a false sense of security over time, which could take her natural fear of terrain that's too difficult.
Or how about you just watch the video. Bunch of health and safety nutjobs. If the dog dies or gets injured at least it had a good life. Fun police suck the life out of everything.
Everyone's concerned about what happens if the dog fell, but I think animals have pretty good senses of such things. If you watch, Biscut almost falls at one point and uses his climbing skills to just ride the mountain back down. Pretty freakin impressive!
@tytvan And as far as coat types, the Jack Russell Terrier breed has three coat types. Smooth, broken and rough coats. There can be quite a variation in the coat types.
@garrenlmelton I agree... nobody should feel bad for this dog. It's living a life way better than that of a dog that sits in a cage all day while you're at work or lazes around the house all day because someone won't walk him unless he wines to go pee.
im also a climber and my dog does pretty much the same thing, it isnt animal abuse like your saying, my dog is just smart enough to know what he can and can't do
@candyazz28 I would think that providing food and shelter for the dog, having the capability to express thoughts in written and verbal forms, and creating a civilization capable of genetically engineering hundreds of dog breeds qualify us as master more than just a friend. That was always my understanding anyway.
Guys the dog isnt in in nearly as much danger as your making it out to be Im a proud climber and i have a dog that rock scrambles to, and Cali (my dog) is smart enough to back down from anything dangerous i just can not understand why you are mad at this guy for loving his dog unconditionally and giving it a great life when there are millions of stray dogs that are starving, abused and uncared for. Take your concern else where, why not go protest some dog fights? i can fully support that cause
please take care of her :( she might fall, she may be a fighter that's why she doesn't give up climbing, that's very typical jack russell and we all love a fighter. BUT, it's already too hard to imagine her falling or getting hurt :(
@tytvan Actually, she could be a JRTCA Jack Russell Terrier, which the Parson terrier originates. The JRTCA is the original & largest single breed club & registry for Jrts. They legally own the name"Jack Russell Terrier". There is much confusion over the name. The JRTCA terrier is isbalanced, longer legged. Parson terriers are AKC. AKC changed the name since they were sued by the JRTCA for the name. Just wanted to set things straight : )
@whiterockskater I suppose that you are extremely clever to think that the dog is climbing for hobby and the summit is her only motivation. Clearly she is trying to reach his owner and trying to follow him. At last a responsible in this case could put her a harness. If he "in theory" love his dog and cares for her life.
i think Biscuit is a mountain goat disguise as a dog.
That is one of the wildest things i ever seen in my life! I had no idea it was even possible for a dog to do that. WOW
What an amazing dog. I've never seen a dog with that much determination. Those two are perfect for each other.
Best girlfriend I ever had. :-)
That dog is awesome. Jack Russels are hardcore, crazy little dogs. I love them.
Look at that muscles!! That dog is really strong, well trained!!
My dog is a climber too, though I always back her up with a rope&harness. But it is crazy how much she likes it.
this is a special breed known for their climbing ability. Very rare!
@A G I mean if you consider they were bred to drive prey out of their burrows, and how steep burrows can be, it's possible that a related skillset is involved.

Love the grit and courage!!
The best thing I have ever seen 😂😂😂💚💚💚💚
Every Jack I have owned has been fucking awesome and wild as hell
After climbing bears, now climbing dogs ;-) "She just has fun doing it, just like everybody else that does it".

I actually found myself cheering - literally cheering for the dog - from 0:56 to 1:27. I was so happy when she made it up the rock. :)
She should wear a safety harness like human climbers do.
BELAY THE DOOGGGGGG
Dogs free solo

Love it.
And all that free solo!
This is totally nuts!
Everyone's concerned about what happens if the dog fell, but I think animals have pretty good senses of such things. If you watch, Biscut almost falls at one point and uses his climbing skills to just ride the mountain back down. Pretty freakin impressive!

That dog has SKILL!! :D
The idea is awesome, and the dog is awesome, but really, man, you should do something for Biscuit's safety.

there's a broom on the top of that mountain
RIP little chum!

@garrenlmelton I agree... nobody should feel bad for this dog. It's living a life way better than that of a dog that sits in a cage all day while you're at work or lazes around the house all day because someone won't walk him unless he wines to go pee.
CRACKED sent me here!!!!
Anyone know the music credits for this piece? I love the music. RIP Biscuit!
Great dogs. Very loyal to the pack leader - you.
Aupa Perrito!!
sob!
I want one of those
She must have a little bit of Lundehund somewhere back in her bloodline. They're naturally adapted to rock climbing.
im also a climber and my dog does pretty much the same thing, it isnt animal abuse like your saying, my dog is just smart enough to know what he can and can't do
There's a couple of moves there where I think she should have been spotted
@candyazz28 I would think that providing food and shelter for the dog, having the capability to express thoughts in written and verbal forms, and creating a civilization capable of genetically engineering hundreds of dog breeds qualify us as master more than just a friend. jack russels... small dogs with a heart the size of the moon, just like every climber should be :D
Thats fucking incredible
Ron Burgundy: ''how about that, that dog can rock climb''
Parson Russels are the best dogs in the world, there no game.
I used to have a Jack Russel Terrier too :/
RIP
O cabra é animal!!!
very nice DOG the ARMIES ARE THE BEST TO TEACH A DOG FREECLIMBING ^^
THE REAL 4X4 DOG
That is awesome!
So some dog breeds would actually be suitable as climbing buddies then?

So that makes her a

Bighorn sheepdog.
we waiting when the dog climb on mount everest.
Why do people say that they are the master of their dog? You are a friend and not their master. She loves you as a friend and not her master.
She was the best.
@ToTirDeKK what's 127 hours in dog time?
It took me a bit of time BUT i found the song.
It's Fredalba - Gimme More
......................PLEASE DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE FIRST SONG THAT PLAYS THE ONE WITH THE FLUTE??????
Part Billy goat 🐐
@KingBastard He said it climbs things that people can't. That includes himself.
You a climber?
pls name the track @ the end...
fuckin deadly! me and my dog just watched this
@polarhumenn gutted man, sorry to hear that, you the chap in the video?
@w00tkid hahahaha
For all those who are complaining. Biscuit id actually die, not from rock climbing, but the victim of a cougar.
anyone know the name of this song
Is that like Baxter from Anchorman. Baxter... is that you?
1:43 reminded me of a mountain goat
can i get the song?
@Finssup Exactly what I was thinking.
Who says you need oppose-able thumbs to climb to great heights in this world.
I learned that she died by a mountain lion. RIP Biscuit.
@tytvan

Her pedigree had an unknown sire. Technically she wasn’t even a Jack Russell.
@whiterockskater I suppose that you are extremely clever to think that the dog is climbing for hobby and the summit is her only motivation. Crag Russel
@GreenRoomGames YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
