I was there as well…great show - was quite warm! The Cranes and Dinosaur Jr were okay but the main act was stellar…I remember the fireworks as well…

I was there, drinking water while rolling balls. Awesome show and great memories.

Thank you for this video. The Cranes opened. Dinosaur Jr. was on next. The Cure came on as it started to get dark. Independence Day fireworks from nearby Municipal Stadium shot into the sky while they played Trust. The closing minute of A Forest for the encore was the loudest sound I had ever experienced. I was 18 years old, and it was a magical night for me that I still recall fondly 30 years later.

The same, except I was 19. I got there around 3AM to wait in line and ran to the front of the stage as soon as the gates opened. Every minute was magical, even if it meant being pushed around in a sea of sweaty bodies. It's still the only concert where I witnessed an opening act (Dinosaur Jr.) have the audacity to play a hit song from the headliner, but they owned it. I've seen The Cure many times since, including their 2023 North American tour, and Robert hasn't changed a bit.

They had fireworks during “doing the unstuck” not “trust” -
      Were you even there?

omg, I was at this actual show with The Cranes fronting The Cure. Fireworks after the show, couldn't forget it.

I was there; my first Cure concert and the sound was just pure sh!te. Spartan Stadium is not a good venue for concerts… I knew they usually sounded great from bootlegs - so very disappointing, but the next night at Sac was the best ever - they played “m” and “figurehead” half the crowd was on MDMA including our friends …
