Omg. I just showed my husband these videos. I was there!! I was 16, and camping on the side of the road with my host family. I suffered through Midnight Oil, but got to hear Sinéad O'Connor, and Bob Dylan. Whatever. Juat seeing Robert walk ouy with his hair made me scream!!!!

I was there; my first Cure concert and the sound was just pure sh!te. Spartan Stadium is not a good venue for concerts… I knew they usually sounded great from bootlegs - so very disappointing, but the next night at Sac was the best ever - they played “m” and “figurehead” half the crowd was on MDMA including our friends …

I was there too, i remember that the snaredrum was so fu*** loud - maybe due to my position - it was an awesome gig

Nice! I was there! :-D My girlfriend nearly fainted during 100 years and i had to drag her out of the crowd. Missed half the concert, now i can see what i missed, haha. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this. The Swing-Tour was very good, it seems to be underrated nowadays. They had great Setlists, smaller venues and a beautiful stage-design. I saw them playing "Forever" in Hannover as a sixteen year old girl, it was mindblowing.

I was 14, my mom dropped me and my friend off at that concert , we cried, screamed, lost a shoe ( a maryjane) in the crowd lol. The best memories. Still love the cure, cause The cure, is The Cure!!

waou, je viens de voir THE CURE il y a 3 jours le 7 nov 2022 a lyon au meme endroit, je me dis , tiens est ce qu'il y a une video de mon 1er concert de CURE il y a 30 ans , ça m'etonnerait, je cherche, je tombe la dessus, et malgré qu'il y ai plus de 10000 personnes je tombe sur ma tronche en gros plan des le debut de la video en train de dire au cameraman que je ne connaissais pas "qu'on ne verra pas grand chose" ...lol incroyable....j'en reviens pas d'etre la dessus au moment ou je voyais the cure pour la 1ere fois....qui es tu donc cameraman ? je ne me souvenais meme pas avoir eu ce moment avec toi....agreable hasard et surprise, tres emu de me voir sur ce souvenir important pour moi, et comment as tu pu rentrer avec un camescope a k7 de l'epoque ? quel camescope c'etait ?

I was there, in about the fourth row, with 4 guys twice my size around me, and fainted during the second song, because I couldn't breathe. I seriously thought for a moment that I was going to die. I dropped to the ground and I was out like a light. The next thing I remember was being rolled out on a stretcher. Music got lower and lower, and I was so pissed. Like, "who faints at The Cure?"... But the pressure of the crowd in front of the stage (I was right center stage) was just too much. The care staff who gave me a drink and kept me under surveillance for about 10 minutes felt so sorry for me because I kept telling them how much I wanted to see the concert and cried when I heard "Lullaby" in the distance because I was missing it. So one of them walked me up to the balcony and made me promise not to get back into the crowd below...

This was my very first big concert I went to - couldn't been any better 🤩❤️ I fell in love with the Cranes who were opener on this one as well. OMG I was at the age of 15 and was totally blown away. I still am today... 😍
