  • This is the Bissell spot clean pro in action 3 years later. Is this carpet / upholstery cleaner any good? The results speak for themselves. This has been the best buy i have made particularly when it comes to removing stains from carpet.

I've had one of these for years. I make my own detergent very cheaply as a concentrate in a 2 litre bottle. Water, vinegar, scented oil, a little dishwashing detergent, oxy and eucalyptus oil. Per large area reservoir, fill with water and add 3 tablespoons of concentrate last. Works wonders on car upholstery - seat covers looked clean before treatment, but obviously weren't. I use this in my commercial size cleaner in the house too.

I have hard floors and only two rugs in the whole house. And for some reason whenever one of my Whippets feels like a spew or has diarrhoea they decide to use one of the rugs. Before getting a bissel I'd have to take them outside and hose the spew or turds out then clean the area by hand and then let it dry for a couple of days. Getting one of these was the best thing I've done. Just wish i had one when i had two babies projectile vomiting milk on the floor.

Mine will either throw up on a rug or a bunch of electrical cables

Thanks Bill. I've often wondered how well the Bissel spot cleaner works. I guess it would be good for grubby lounges too.

I have a similar model that I’ve used to clean mysterious stains under my kid’s car seat. Works wonders.

If possible. Do not buy BISSELL. They break down just after warranty . Waiting for ryobi australia to launch the new 18V carpet cleaner (currently available in USA)
