    When you charge in like a amateur swinging the way Eubank did you have a big chance of clashing heads and that's Eubank's own fault.

      Britec09 I wouldn’t say amateur because that’s an offence to elite amateur boxers I would say novice or shit

      It's the lack of a decent armature career that will not allow him to become anything more than a hyped pro

    • @Britec09
      @Britec09 Před 6 lety +5

      He done exactly what George said he would do, which he also done in sparing many years ago, he was bull rushing George and swinging like a novice. You can't get away with that at this level. Ronnie Davies and Eubank Sr are deluded. Eubank Jr looked like a fish out of water in that ring, No tactics, No proper sparing, No promoter, No game plan, No clue. Once Eubank's fight tactics did not work, he had no clue what else to do because of all the reasons above. He's 29 now and set in his ways and will find it hard to bounce back from this unless hes willing to change.

      In a way ur correct but this fight with the blood in the eye required an overly aggressive gameplan. If his name was GGG n he fought that fight then people would be saying how he dominated Groves. People are interesting deluded characters

    Respect to Eubank for going 12 rounds with a bad cut and doing this press conference, but he's arrogant, naive, deluded and quite frankly not a top level boxer. No boxing brain and isn't willing to learn or even have a trainer.

    • @lucasm3879

      The Monobrow
      Exactly.
      He didn’t learn to box as an amateur, and then thought he didn’t need a trainer and could do it all himself.
      What an clueless arrogant knobhead.
      At 28, I don’t think he’ll learn now, by the sounds of it he still can’t admit he’s done it the wrong way.

However to go 12 rounds with a fighter at the standards like Grove and hearing him answer the questions in the Post Fight Press Conference in an honest and humble manner, for me is a testament to the character and attitude of the man... irish brother No. Eubank and Groves were both exposed. Eubank is a brawler with mid level, amatuerish boxing skill and Groves is nearly a shot fighter. Eubank doesn't listen to instruction and unless he does that, he will be nothing more than a boxing gatekeeper. Groves should have been able to stop Eubank and was unable, that speaks volumes to where he is at now in his career. Callum Smith wins and may stop George.

      Junior claims headbutt cut him - str8 lie - Groves powerful jab 2.45 secs of round 3 - the cut didn't affect his vision that much. Also Groves beat him one handed in the last round. Junior is a big swinger but seriously lacking boxing skills.

    • @maitaimik
      @maitaimik Před 6 lety +5

      @lionsandtruth2483 Před 6 lety +5

      Easy to say that when a guy has blood in their eyes throughout the entire fight. There are things to add to his game like hard feints, the jab to the stomach n parrying touching the jab instead of always slipping but overall dude can fight n mos def has plenty of time to earn a title at 60 or 68.

      @g-man8923 Před 6 lety +2

      Lenny Henry i totally agree with you mate just to add on i think eubank sr is too much in his boys line he needs to totally step aside and eubank jr he needs to get him self a team by that i mean a good trainer defense is lacking he needs a good trainer like Floyd mayweatherr sr

    • @JDizzleNW
      @JDizzleNW Před 6 lety +11

      Ronnie Davis is a good trainer, it's just really hard to train someone that just thinks they know it all, doesn't listen to anybody and just wants to do their own thing.. Ronnie Davis probably just puts up with Eubank Jr shit because it's a decent payday for him too and it's better then just sitting around at home drinking tea, eating biscuits and not doing much..

    • @Two_Seat_Pete_FatA55
      @Two_Seat_Pete_FatA55 Před 6 lety +8

      Fighters get cuts all the time. It can't be used as an excuse. The blood in the eye was nothing, it not an excuse for having awful balance, poor footwork, no idea how to set up shots, no idea how to work off the jab from the outside etc. etc. these are all things he should have been working on years ago. He's not a baby either, he's approaching late 20's now and will eventually be 30 and still doesn't do a lot of the things that a taught at amateur level. I don't blame him. His team are hellbent on saying how special he is, like he has a divine right to win. If the experienced members of his team are deluded, what chance has Jr got? - People can say he doesn't listen, but a real trainer would make him listen and demand respect if they're any good. It's one thing giving him instructions in the corner, but it's very obvious that he hasn't got the tools to do it because they're not working on them.

    Eubank better face reality, he's not the fighter who doesn't need a coach as he thinks he is. That arrogance got to him tonight. He looked very amateurish. Besides that I don't understand how the ref could allow Grove to hold for the entire fight without as much as a warning much less a point deduction. Grove won fair and square but the ref detracted from his win by making it look like Grove needed his help.

    Second defeat and still in denial. It was apparent from the 1st couple of rounds that jr didn't know how to close groves down so he could get his body shot/uppercut combos off. All he could do was rush in and that's why he got cut, groves didn't head butt, he kept jumping in swinging and getting himself off balance with no room to work. He didn't hurt groves and didn't have the power for the ko. He touched down at least once so to say he wasn't hurt is just pride. The fact that he couldn't tell that groves had dislocated him shoulder, shows that he was just throwing for a lucky punch and not actually boxing. Groves had the right tactics but it wasn't an excellent game plan, it was an obvious one that jr should have had a plan for, if only he had someone in his camp who could actually tell him the truth......

  • @23lnp
    @23lnp Před 6 lety +2

    I dont think its the end for eubank at all. But he seriously needs to consider his future in boxing. All the haters talking shit have probably never tested themselves the way these warriors do or tested themselves at anything in life.
    If eubank is serious about boxing then he needs to LISTEN. Find a trainer you bond with and listen and learn. Go back to basics, use the jab, throw feints and move your head to get inside. Side stepping, parrying jabs, blocking follow up combo’s and counter punching. These are just a few tools needed to be a top fighter / boxer.
    Theres no doubt that eubank has got natural ability in fighting terms but he definitely needs to sort out his boxing. Everything works off the jab, something eubank didnt use in the whole fight.
    This loss will either give him the drive and desire to come back and prove himself as a top fighter or it will be the end of him. You cant deny his courage, heart and chin but you need alot more in your arsenal to get to the top and reign supreme. I dont doubt eubank has the potential, its just how much he wants it and wants to prove he deserves to be at the top level and to do that he needs to go back to basics and find a coach and listen 👂

  • @ZaydDepaor

    having a trainer in the ring isn't just about having knowledge and experience behind you to help with tactics but it is also about having someone on your side viewing the fight and noticing things that perhaps you are not...like patterns in the other fighter and in your own fighter. Even football managers have assistants no matter how intelligent, experienced and knowledgeable they are. Even if you are smarter than all your coaches it is still worth training under various coaches as you can pick up different ways of doing things, techniques, tactics etc... They can all bring something different over and above the fundamentals.

Put on an excellent display and took the fight a weight division above, whilst having a hostile crowd and losing a lot of blood he still came through, I wonder how it would've gone if groves was cut ?. A few more years away we have an undisputed champ here. He just fought the wrong fight.

      Elzur a world class fighter wins his most important fights or is atleast highly skilled. Eubank swung like an amateur how can you call him world class ? So he is like billy joe and golovkin? Both are world class. Eubank is a b level fighter at best.
