Tbh it’s more like this - all fighters have injuries & stuff always. Throughout your career. Both sides probably were just saying what happened. If you win. Your a warrior because you pushed through anyway. If you lose it’s an excuse. The truth. It’s just sport. The body breaks down sometimes. I had over 70 amateur fights about 30 years ago say a young man. About 60% of the time my best would get left in the gym. 🤷🏻♂️
Given the way Liam Smith and his team celebrated and the way they were rubbing it in after and since the first fight, I think Chris handled his revenge with dignity and respect. I think Chris won over a few haters last night, including me.
Give over mate! The crap that Eubank spewed before the first fight saying he only needs to be 50% to beat Liam and that he was only eating KFC was laughable much like your comment. That was one of the most one sided fights I've ever witnessed. Liam didn't stand a chance. Right from the 1st round he got totally battered. Now we all know this is how Chris Eubank Jnr can perform hopefully we'll see alot more of it. He was literally in pure beast mode & delivered an absolute masterclass of a show despite being pretty much written off by everyone beforehand

That was no masterclass. Thats was a complete sh1t show from Smith. Not knocking Chris because he did what he should but its not like it was a close or technical fight in any way. As far as excuses go, personally I don't think all excuses are unjustifiable. Some actually can be justified for example you arriving to work late because you hit the snooze on your alarm too many times OR you arriving late because of an unforseen vehicular accident. The latter in this instance would be justifiable.
Liam said prior he had a great camp but come back only because he lost to claim he had a hard weightcut, that's not justifiable imo

Chris put on a great performance tonight. If you look at the 2 fights in rounds I would say that the score is 13-2 to Chris. I don’t buy many fights anymore but I always put my hand in my pockets for Chris. He’s a good lad and a true Brit.
I made it 12-3 so we're close enough. I wouldn't be gloating so much over a win on someone who was hardly moving but it was nice to see him looking sharp and doing the job well.

I honestly didn’t expect Eubank to overcome Smith after being stopped in January. When someone hasn’t been stopped before and it happens, 90% of the time it will end a fighter. Psychologically, it takes a huge toll so anyone that can come back, not fight to survive but go hard and dominate, you have to respect that. Chris obviously does have what it takes and if he can learn to listen to his people, he may have some really big fights left and a good chance of winning them. Fair dues Eubank, stopping a guy that stopped you is big.

Liam Smith is overhyped, and his win over eubanks first time, was just because Chris was past it. Chris is still past it, but found some of his old skills back here. To look well trained, is normal in boxing.. to look like Liam, you dont have the biology to really be a boxer. Liam has achieved alot with the little he has got, ill give him that.
The new Britains pros, like Chev, the McCormick brothers.. that is how real boxers look like. They are several levels above already
