You're one of the first channels I found when I first discovered Saab a few weeks ago. Being quite young, it makes me a little sad to see this kind of practical and beautiful car design being phased out. Most new cars are indistinguishable from one another. I am not really sure that I'd actually enjoy driving any modern cars! I am looking for a classic 900, but they're getting harder to find in the US. Can't wait to see updates on this project!
I’ve always liked to looks of these NG’s. They were still mostly recognizable and different enough from anything else on the road. That said, I’d still choose another classic to compliment my C-Vert. Looking forward to the comparisons.
This one is in a real base spec. Mechanical odometer, no SID, 1-din radio,… looking forward for the comparison as I love both classic and new generation.
Why are the stick turbo models getting so damn expensive!? Even with 200K miles, the GMT2900 ones are going for $6K-10K which is crazy. Are they turning into collectors items now??? And if so, why only the turbo models?

yeah as time goes on they will get rarer and rarer, I hope you find one , if you do , cherish it and keep as long as you can

I miss my old NG900a I keep looking for a good one but can't find one in a good shape :( I still have the Viggen though
Quite curious to know whether the steering wheel shudder was caused by flat spotted tires. My 900 NG cabrio also has that shudder at around 80 km/h.

Really? I picked up a 2door se manual for $500. Didn’t run of course but was in decent shape.
I wonder if you can replace the temp only display with a SID 2 or SID 3 - is all the wiring present to do that?

Looks like the early turbo model - could be an EMS but more like 78/79 turbo
