    I really appreciate that hack on oil filters. I was paying $15.00 per oil filter on the Kohler for my Cab Cadet LT1050. i did the hack on the oil filter and it works. i have to put a little of my oil but it works beautifully. Have a nice n blessed holiday. Take care👍

    I went to Advance and got a Carquest R83578 for $5; it fit perfectly. The same thread and gasket fit a Ford and Kia I owned, and even a Chrysler I had. It fits dozens of car, truck, and small engines.

    Wix - 51056 & Motorcraft FL 313 .... and there are about 50 others that will cross reference but S.T.P. 3512 is usually what I use !!

    On the Kohler 7000 Series 22 hp, the WIX 51348 works and is a bit longer.

    Well, I am looking for an alternative filter. But, the Kohler filter say "Full Flow" and the stp does not. Which alternate are Full Flow? Thanks.

    Fram PH7575 should fit and PH3614 is a 10,000 mile filter that should also fit according to their website. I ordered one to see.

    • @chechatonga9502
      @chechatonga9502 Před 2 lety

      Fram ph8172 is a!so a cross reference to the Kohler filter
      Also the length doesn't matter can be shorter or longer...( These engines run cleaner these days ) gasket fit and bypass limits are what matters
      It is a lawn mower .... change it once a year thing for the average home owner... commercial is different after 100 hours
      This isn't a thing to be anal about....
