Great research dude keep up the good work and yes thats a hidden hard to locate vac hose port COMENT From (Eliama&i Songs on youtube) One Blood One Vine, Love is Much more, Sound of Sadness, Dudo Gulpe ! Share and coment !
unlock, hold unluck
I’m trying to find where the hose that Ts off the check valve goes to. I have the one going into the sidewall, just not the one that goes down to I don’t know where. It’s the hose right next to the one that you just hooked up.
when i do this it just losens the nut on tensioner. 07 jeep liberty
Ty sir
Get a bungee cord rope wire or whatever Google AC tubes back take it out and put it in
What would cause a blazer lose charge ?
As in battery die?
Dude you are genius
Will that make it hard to start sometimes
Any vacuum leak could at times so yes. I didn't that I remember with that one. I had the main lime that goes to come off the intake and I did yes
@@k30krazy ok. It's just weird cause mine only does it sometimes. But it's kicking the evap code.
What's the code?
@@k30krazy p446 or something like that
Evap problem sounds like
I gotta take off the tensioner also but damn you saved me a headache
Glad it helped!
Electrical tape is essential for field first aid.
Facts!!
Appreciating the video but since I have to go buy the “clips” I need the technical term for them. Clips doesn’t cut it when you go in asking for them
Hitch pins, hair pins, hitch clips... they're called a number of things
34 second intro? Fuck off!
The 98+ vacuum can in thd fenders ONLY job is to provide backup vacuum under HEAVY ACCELERATION to the HVAC. It literally had ZERO to do with your 4x4. I'm on truck #7 over the past 30+ years and I know them well enough to 100% believe that your 4wd started miraculously working better after randomly jostling the lines around lol. But the facts in this case is you solved a weakened HVAC control actuators mainly blendoor functionality. But with an S-Series?? Tire pressure low and your passenger window gets stuck lol. These are finicky animals for sure! Glad you got your 4x4 going again- that's the only thing that matters. Just don't want some 20 something kid seeing this and believe it's going to solve his shorted out TC motor. It's an hvac line, that's it
First off if someone is stupid enough to believe fixing a vacuum leak is going to an electrical problem that's not my problem. Second all I said was that the line was disconnected. I had no 4x4 because the axle actuator wasn't getting enough vacuum because of a leak. I plugged the leak and it worked fine. All this video states is I found out about the fender mounted vacuum canister and that's where that short line went. That did intact fix the hvac problems under acceleration like you mentioned. There's more than one issue I talked about here. Never said that the canister fixed the 4x4 problem
Isn't this a safety cable/Kill cable rather than a throttle cable?
Good video though. Easy Smeazy.
Both I guess
Thanks 🎉
Hey K30Krazy, Great Video.. I had the same issue and took care of that. I don't know where these lines are hooked up to. I still have the same 3 way plastic tee line that you have with the green marks on it going down the driver's side and the line that disappears towards the engine block. I'm still hearing a hissing sound on the open t line nipple. Thanks if you can help out. I just replaced distributor cap and rotor this morning..! Thanks
Thanks! So those lines on the other 2 ports go to the hvac and the intake. The one going towards the firewall to a hard line us for hvac. The one going towards the engine goes to the intake for your vacuum source.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll check it out today.. we have these severe thunderstorm warnings here in Central Florida. I'll let you know on I did. Thanks,
Nicely done. Thanks!
What year model was this? I have a 2013 Tahoe with some slop
2004. I'd check the rest of your steering before jumping to this.
I like the way you said that at least it worked on the other side. 👍🙏✌️🎏🤠
Thx for the video , I’m hoping that’s my issue on my 5.7l
Does any basic trailer brake controller in a pick up truck work with these or do you have to have a special controller in the truck for it?
So I don't have a very broad experience with them. They worked fine in our newer ford's we had. There was a setting you could change to electric over hydraulic. I have one aftermarket controller that says it works with them.
Man I wished u would have showed ware that line goes on the other side of the white connector. I can’t figure it out for nothing.
So the one side goes to the fender for the vacuum canister, the other across from it goes to the manifold for your vacuum source, the third perpendicular one connects to a plastic line with a section of rubber and it goes through the firewall. It's the vacuum for you hvac controls
@@k30krazy thanks man.
Rename the video I searched for this forever and it only just randomly crossed my feed name the vehicle and what your fixing
I found this issue working on some thing else on my s10. Saw that some random vacuum lines were deteriorated near the area I was working. replaced the lines and found this video after the fact and watched to make sure I put it back the right way. Luckily for me there was a piece of old hose coming out of the fender component nipple.
I’m trying to fix my 1999 2wd 4.3 s10 and I’m having a misfire on idle, shortly after I found this entire 3-way hose sitting under my brake booster. Thankfully to you I found the vacuum canister now so I know where one hose goes but where does the other two? Any tips would be helpful but thank you for the video as well
That T of three lines... one to the canister on the right the middle on mine went to a hard plastic line through the firewall for hvac controls and the left side went to a line on the manifold. I forget which one
Thanks, I just started looking for this. You saved me time on this one.
Glad to hear it!
Dude nice tip!
Glad you liked it! Thanks!
This is going to be good😅😊
The M is for modified and to differentiate between a 351W and a 351C. The M only applies to the 351. Ford only made 1 400 and 3 351's. Thus the letters for all the 351s

I just want to add my thanks that you solved this mystery. I too thought it didn't make sense to have an open vac line but at the same time since I didn't see any connection and the open end looked to have never been connected ,thought maybe this is how it was designed . So glad I came upon ur video by chance .
I'm glad it helped! Thanks for the kind words.
Thanks for that. Might seem simple but needed some direction.
You bet, I'm glad it helped!
Thanks. I have that exact problem with my Nissan
I hope that helps!
@k30crazy another more practical reason why you want to put a twist in your strap and keep it from vibrating... if the strap is vibrating against a hard corner, that corner can actually cut the strap and you you loose your load.
Love the dealywhompsisis 😂. Thanks for the info bud ,just what i was looking for
Yeah I'm pretty technical lol. Glad it helped!
@@k30krazy lol it did!!
Awesome man, thank you.
No problem, glad to help!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you sir!!!
You are very welcome!
The vacuum line go to the vacuum canister behind the abs pump on fender
Whoa. That's really great. About to take the steering gear box out of my 97 Blazer to replace bearings and seals. Might as well since I'm donig the timing chain and cover and what not. Do EVERYTHING at once. haha
I never comment on videos, but seriously, thank you for this!
I'm glad it helped!!
My 2nd hand 98 2.2L LS had an audio intake vacuum leak 3' hose from one of the top ports which I capped on the Throttle-B routed in the direction to the left fender. I found the same extremely deteriorated hose but it's 7/32 GM1486-M 111497. The label outlasted the hose's structure. Cheating GM hoses were made and installed on all Chevy vehicles back in the 90s. So, 30 years have passed. Anyway, mine was also just hanging around like yours. What I don't know is where the 3rd line connects to? Some videos show it connects to a round hood HVAC Reservoir canister which I don't have. Is it missing? I don't have a 4x4. The check valve may have fallen off to the pavement years ago because the end of the hose crumbled. Now, I don't know if I just connect the new hose directly to the fender vacuum canister's barb. Glad you pic that male Barb.
Fn elmer fudd over here a couple wahps with your wists 😅
Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I couldn't figure it out.
Mine still blows the seals every 4-6 months. Im currently converting to grease !
Ours started doing the same. You won't regret it! I have at least one video on converting to grease
Thanks you so much !! My 4 x 4 ZR2 Sonoma wouldn't go into four wheel drive and mechanics at shop couldn't find vacuum leak. They saw the short 5/32" line and plugged it and four wheel drive kind of worked. They sent me home with it that way. I came across your video and removed the 10mm bolt and found the nipple where the line attaches. Took it back to them and showed them. My four wheel drive is FIXED THANKS TO YOU!! Jan
I'm glad I was able to help!
@@k30krazy Me, too! I sat in their waiting room 8 hours the first time and 6 hours the next time they tried. What a relief! I live miles out in the country where the snow has been DEEP and I really needed my four wheel drive!! Thank you again!!
U don't kno how long I've looked for that ....
When I replaced my fan clutch on my Trailblazer I made a simple tool to hold the water pump pulley in place. I used a piece of flat metal stock. I think it was 1/2 inch wide by 1/8 inch thick, by probably about a foot long, but I do not remember the exact length. What I did was drill holes in each end of that metal bar, fasten one end to the water pump pulley by removing one bolt and reinstalling the bolt then fastening the other end of the rod to one of the alternator mount bolts. That pulley could no long move at all. Then I proceeded to loosen and remove the fan clutch.
Buddy of mines fighting trying to get his off of his Blazer and he can't get it off. He went to O'Reilly's and Rented one of the water pump wrenches to get the fan loose and it ended up breaking the wrench. So I said I'd go up and help him I got a 15 inch crescent wrench to to Boston loose and God damn this fucking so I said I'd go up and help him I got a 15 inch crescent wrench to bust it loose . So I'm going to go help him out . And this idea with the piece of metal bar sounds like it would work just perfect. I'm going to try it and see what it does I don't know I got a couple other ideas that I did before I just put up allen wrench in one of the little holes in the pulley and it got it loose. But I'll see what I can find what I can do and then I'm going to reply back on here how this worked or not I'm going to try to find a piece of metal that I can use and drill a hole in the hole in it.
Use the shop vac and soap trick to find leaks.
Thank you. Bought one that needed a battery. Didn't want to take a whole bucket of tools, just the ones needed to do the job.
