I went to National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla for 03 yrs. basic military training & when my course reached IMA, Dehradun for the 01 yr. advance trg; our course duration got truncated by 06 months due to the Kargil war. Anyway, I too left the service at 07 yrs. despite being a dipped & dyed fauji (03 generation). Keep the stories coming Sir :)

I recently bought your book on the GT road and am enjoying reading it. There are very few people in Pakistan unfortunately who impart knowledge about the history and the geography of our country. Were you in Qasim company in PMA ? I was in Salahuddin 3; my room was just opposite to yours. If am not wrong you had a jar containing panjeeri that you shared with me. please reply
Shahid I was inducted in S-3, but Maj Riaz Chaudhri took me in his platoon S-2. I am surprised you forget me. I still remember you. 93 Fd was your regiment? Right?
@@odysseuslahori Salman , I was posted to 99 Med Regiment Arty. I too resigned from my commission in 1973-1974. I never got along with my CO Col Niaz .i do remember you very much....... You were not a GC that could be forgotten. Am interested to talk with after almost 54years.
