IMO this honesty and respect for human values has collapsed only in the last few decades in our sub continent. Even the generation of my parents (born in the 1920s) had these values.

I couldn't forget the romance of this story in a year. Re watching again today. Other than all other details I am particularly impressed by the Love bond between two leaders. Again, in this love bond Purva Raja proved himself as the loyal one, but our historians have failed to highlight that Punjabi Character.
    Stay blessed My Lord!

Many thanks for yet another engaging episode...didn't even come to know the passing of time listening to your narration and sharing of times gone by. Distortion of history...ajj kal te akhaan de sammne ho rehab hai. A record of such distortions will also survive, hopefully. Looking forward to more episodes to travel with Ek Musafir.

Thank you very much Sir for the wonderful informative episode. Alexander campaign is most remarkable event in our ancient history. We have to depend upon contemporary Greek sources as we don't have any local. ( Al-beruni is right in mentioning that we don't pay much attention about recording our history). You have suggested about Dr Budhiprakash work but unfortunately that also does n't put much authentic arguments on this rather I found that author struggles in searching origin of name Paurva. Contemporary Nanda king baffles me a lot. If we take Greek sources as " King is from barber lineage than its Mahapadam nanda but than we have to put Chadragupta too late...??

Salman sb Raja Poras had given a tough time to Alexander who stole the victory with the help of traitor Ambhi, Raja of Taxila. I believe that those murals were made and erected by Raja Ambhi instead of Poras the great. A Janjua Rajput would have never advertised his defeat in such way. No way, if it was so, same must have been done by Ambhi and not Poras at all. Love bravo Poras ❤

I had read that ALaxender was told by Porus that Nandas had 20,000 elephants (porus had 200) and 2 lakh ki infantry and then even if somehow Alaxender won the king of China was even more powerful and so the army mutineed and probably Alaxender also realised the futility of his campaign (again a Jain Monk had mocked his World victory ideas) ...but these episodes are so great

Surprised Salman rasheed Sb, I always praise you but here I see you claim Aryan book is your source but you are going beyond his book by using "atkal pachu" like a lay man. You attribute Porus to a phenomenon which was absolutely not existing in subcontinent before 7the century AD, which amounts to distort history and breaching the trust of those who follow you blindly.
