- If there's one thing every CZcamsr has to own, it's the Hummer H2, and I found the perfect example. This 2003 Hummer H2 has almost 300,000 miles, tons of mods, and it's sitting on chrome 20's. It screams Hummer, VERY NICE.

On the sync for the climate control, yes it does have a disable for the passenger zone. You press and hold the auto button until they go into sync. Same with all the other GM digital dual zone.
Yeah, my '02 Envoy is the same controls and I always have it synced to driver. Only when the passenger knob is turned does it become set different.
Had an 03 LB seven I swore I didn’t have to set both knobs as well knew I wasn’t crazy
I have an H3 & met a guy here in town with an H2...got to talking and he showed me his completely destroyed interior. He had gone camping and a bear had gotten into the Hummer and tore it apart. Guy decided to leave it as is for a conversation piece & to be fair it's a pretty badass story to have for a vehicle.
Yo.. that was lil hit boi's H2. He use to pull it behind his tour bus so he could stunt in any city he went to. He called it hitta H2 Hoe slaya!! So cool you found it.. RIP lil hit boi!! Gone but neva forgotten..
Who tf is that💀
My parents have a 4L60E anomaly. They bought a brand new Suburban in 2003, and it currently has about 275k miles on the original transmission. And it’s fine.
So long as you don't tow (or use tow/haul when you do) and keep the fluid serviced, and don't drive it like a yobbo, they last.
Parking downhill trying to move the spare tire out of the way is going to be fun
As recently as eighteen months ago H1s and H2s were easy to find in conditions ranging from "it's what was left after war ended" to "like newish". Prices ranged from "what is todays price for scrap metal" to " Holy crap! What are you smoking?" And they were NOT selling. Almost as soon as the new EV Hummer was announced all those used H1s and H2s seemed to fly off used car lots. Here in our little town H2s have become a common sight compared to two years ago when the only one I ever saw on the road was a heavily "pimped out" white H2 driven by a local teenager. One local dealer, who sells every H1 and H2 he can get in, told me that many of his buyers are open about the fact that they always wanted an H1 or H2 but waited too long to get one when they were new but don't want the EV version in any trim level or price point.
Highly collectable. I know several people who are stockpiling '08-'09 H2's as an investment.
@@christopherhindle8371 I think you have a point. A gent that lives about three blocks from us now owns four H2s. One is a "rolling billboard" for his business with a very eye-catching wrap while the others are black, red, and what looks like a very dark blue. All four reside in a very nice garage. The one with the wrap was/is white and is the only one he drives on a regular basis.
its criminal these things never got a diesel
Some people swapped 6.6 duramaxes in them. But i agree. Hummer 2500
Mine has the 6.0 vortec and it’s absolutely gutless. But it moves it around, and it’s reliable.
Send it to mash motors and get it duramax swapped! I have an 07 SUT that has the 6.6 LBZ duramax
That spare wheel that you have back there is a rotary forged Centerline “Flint” with the wrong center cap. I ordered those directly from Centerline back in 2004. They still make them 😎
Dont sell this truck
lol, the opening sounds like driving down a washboard dirt road.
Sounds like you were hauling all your box wrenches, loose!
Yet there wasn't a single wrench to be found 😂
Solid vehicle! It was an excellent concept and marketing plan. I have known people that owned the H2 and all of them loved them immensely. Excellent content!
That doesn’t sound good… should’ve gotten the ice cream truck 😂
I was just making a Borat joke 😂
@@WatchJRGovery nice! 😂 No, seriously. WatchJrIceCream..?
"I'm your Ice Cream man, stop me when I'm passin by... Oh my my..!"
@WatchJRGo "This is my Sister. #1 Prostitute in all of Bratislava..!" 😅
Lol and the ice cream truck was useful 😎
My man, that's badass! When's the rap album coming out?
Whenever itsjusta6 and I get in the studio 😛
JR I'm loving all the latest content!
Great intro! Love all the random cars lately. I still want an H2 some day!
WOW Sweet JR. WE love this one!!!
That overhead console XM tuner is a cool setup!
Congrats J.R. for pronouncing Prevost correctly! 8 out of 10 butcher it. I supply a Prevost dealer with parts and hear it pronounced wrong everyday.
When I worked out of state with a friend, we pulled a 4 door 4 wheel drive dually behind his Prevost bus. We usually had a trailer behind the dually too. lol
Thats better than 4 out of 5 butchering it!!!!
But can he pronounce "Brough" correctly as in Brough Superior motorcycle.
I knew he wouldn't stay away from the junk for long. Welcome back JR.😊
That flat tow package on the front is the same set up as my friend's 4 door 4 wheel drive Chevy dually. When we worked out of state, he would tow the dually behind his Prevost bus. The dually usually had a 16 or 20 foot enclosed trailer behind it too. We called it the land train. I have a short video of it on my channel somewhere. Pretty ridiculous but the bus pulled it all like a champ. We just had to plan the route because backing up was not an option. lol
So many memories in this one. We had a 98 Venture with the onboard compressor, handy little tool. The rear seat controls in this remind me of the Venture as well (although it did not have heated seats anywhere). I put an aftermarket XM in a 2001 S10, loved the pause feature and missed it in my factory units (when I still listened to XM). Looking forward to seeing your plans for this. Thanks for everything you do ~ Chuck
I rebuilt a 2005 and I can tell you once you have it dialed in they are amazing vehicles. I keep kicking myself for selling it but trading up for the new Hummer EV1 was worth it. You can direct swap in the electric fans from an Escalade, the wiring is from Nelson Performance, and all you have to do is add 2 pins in the ECU harness and unlock the function. You said you were going to tune out the speed limiter, might as well do the electric fan upgrade. Made a world of difference on mine. Alos, the body noise you are feeling is most likely coming from your body mounts. Good luck finding GM ones. Took me 6 months to locate OEM mounts (aftermarket doesn't exist anymore) and the cost on them was upwards of $1200. But, after I replaced the mounts it rode like a Cadillac.
Can't wait until you actually manage to pick up a H1 and compete with ChrisFix haha. Love your work mate!
Please... please don't Too many CZcamsrs have fed the internet a bunch of terrible information about H1's. ChrisFix isn't one o them... but DDE, Predator, Hoovie and others have basically made the internet believe a bunch of bullsh*t about the trucks. For example - tossing a duramax in them is as easy as changing the oil.
I did a bit of googling and I think I found a picture of this H2 being towed behind the RV with cool grey, white red and black graphics.
The owner says it's a '03 and has been towing it since new in Florida.
The post is from 2019 at "IRV2".
It still had the original wheels on the picture.
congrats on the purchase! I pickup a black 03 h2 last week, 115k miles running and driving bone stock, best part is that I have you beat on price. paid only $5k from the original owner!
I'll give you $7,000 today 😳
haha tempting but i don't think I can let it go that fast. its my dream truck! @@WatchJRGo
I bought my ‘03 6 months ago with 102,000 miles (same color as yours too) for $15,000. Runs and drives incredibly, everything works, and the frame is spotless. I got DAMN lucky.
are you going to have fluid film or something done before winter this year?
I've never been a fan of Hummers, but this one looks nice... I like the wheels. I'd like to have them on my Yukon.
It has the factory air compressor.... The noise it was making going down the road almost at the end of the video
sounds like one of those old electric adding machines 😂
04 Silverado i owned had the same controls for windows and seat heat, plus memory seats. It was the LT trim which at that point was the highest.
Makes me appreciate my 70k mile garage kept one, no rattles. Yours has nice rims .
Hows it holding since you've gotten it?
Whats poppin? Awesome video)
lol, I bet the ice cream truck was tempting. 😛
Biden has probably bought that by now. 😂😅😂😅😂
My notification woke me up so now I have to watch the video 😂
26:08 well of course it has problems IT HAS 270 THOUSAND MILES
I wonder if the milage continues to count up when it's being towed by the motorhome.
Doubt it, it’s digital so unless the it’s on and running
It's easy to check. A decent scanner will show engine hours.
@@garybrown4671the DIC should have engine hours on it as well, both of my GM products have it.
I think this is a perfect opportunity to PUMP YOUR RIDE!! 🎉🎊😂
Remember when the Hummer made its debut in the first Gulf War? Left the hovercraft and got stuck in the first sand berm!!
My 05 Sierra's heated seats have "full seat" or "back only" buttons. The "back only" has been used numerous times after rough work days regardless of the outside temperature.
cool vid, got my sub
I used to have a 2005 Hummer H2 (adventure edition). Mine had the well it would look cheesey and cheap now but the touch screen radio. It did have one saving grace, the factory Alpine system was incredible. That truck could get pretty loud inside. At least I can say I've owned one of each (H1, H2 and H3T), but today it's a Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator.
If there was ever one vehicle I miss it was the 2010 H3T. There were only 125 ever made and each one is pretty much a unicorn car.
Sounds like my old jimmy driving down the road. Thanks for giving me the courage to spend some money on myself in your video about the Colorado. I did do something ridiculous and got a Nissan frontier. Truck is awesome but I’m a 90’s gm guy through and through 😂 warranties and practicality are gonna make me keep it though and it’s kinda sick
Oh man, there's one of these for sale by me for only $4200. It has 427,000 miles though. I want it, but can't justify buying it.
"Money pit!" - Scotty Kilmer
You can have mine, 104,000 miles
I would have gone with the ice cream truck instead.
got one for 7000 with 150,000 miles this week, love it!
The exterior and interior are in amazing shape if it actually had that much mileage. Very cool.
If there isn't a rust issue, these are pretty easy to fix and are going to quickly appreciate in value over the next 5-10 years.
I drove one of those. Yeah, one of the worst vechicles I ever drove. Yet, it is still iconic!
That poor thing rattles more than my 88 Suburban. It's a 454 w/ 3:42, terrible gas mileage with the TH400. Hummer looks to be in good shape, no torn seats or rust, paint look good too. Good project for content.
My old Boss had one at her Limo Business. We were short on Suburban's one day so I had to use it...After my Job was over for the day I stopped at the drive thru and the cashier was so impressed saying how much they loved those and just went on and on...LOL
I know it’s hard to believe but a sorted one of these is actually really nice and doesn’t feel like crap. Take a look at 08-09s. It’ll blow your mind. Also the winch in the front receiver was a dealer option and a partnership with Warn. And in my 08 the heated seats are the other way around which is nice.
jon i own several gmt800s i just had this same squeek problem and turned out to be a bad waterpump. never leaked or showed any signs of failure untill it exploded on the highway.
never looked into it but since those are ls powered. it being it so heavy. wouldnt some light mods make it more useable and better in situations like cruising, highway, fuel consumption?
I remember watching Rides back in the day and seeing a lot of famous people getting their Hummer trucks modified like hell lol
You can sync those hvac panels by holding auto and the power button. Sometimes it takes a couple tries but eventually itll go into sync
26:30 - John talking DIRECTLY to Hoovie...
Ice Cream truck with renewing/updating interior and equipment and then successfully selling or dispensing ice cream!?!! I'm in!
One squeak, one rattle, one heck of a deal
reminds me of Paul Tuetul Sr's Hummer H2 that he beat within an inch of its life in season 2 of OCC
It sounds like the H2 needs a BTR Truck Norris cam to help it out. 😁
Remote start is easy to add with the mypushcart module and fobs
same color as mine 2004 sold it last year with just over 200K that 6.0 is a solid engine . electrical issues made me get rid of it .
What’s up JR😁
I wonder if that is the 3rd transmission in that bad boy....
14:00 Since the vehicle was towed, Instead of an Odometer, maybe the previous owner should have added an Hour Meter (like in construction machinery)?
gmt800s all have hour meter for the engines
The 1st gen Buick Enclave also has the split heated seats if you don't have ventilated seats. It is strange. They do turn on with the remote start if its cold. I don't think I've seen them turn on in the summer when using remote start.
I bet those damn light covers are making most the noise.
What I miss from my 2004 yukon xl that they changed in 2007 is the front seat arm rests.
I bought a running and driving h2 about two weeks ago for $4300. 200k Needed 4 tires, gauge cluster, wiper motor, and headliner was water damaged but had rebuilt trans and ran fine. Cheapest H2 I could drive home!
JR! I have a 2008 GMC Sierra and I want my 12V power to shut off with my Ignition, do you have any tips for doing it ?
That front end is shot, good luck with the repair you seem to like them
Unless your driving video at the end was right after you started, you may have a coolant temperature or sensor issue - the temp gauge is showing 100 degrees.
U can fix that up and put mini coopers in the back. 😂
Good Evening John Ross
Hey Douglas! 🍻
Haven’t checked out jr in a while… he’s killing it!
The Air compressor was also in the Saturn Relay with air ride and AWD.
Had to look it up (as nobody touches the pass side knob in my TB), but hold the "auto" button for a few sec to sync the HVAC temps. And if they're real touchy, the pots need to be cleaned.
I got you beat on price, just bought (4/27/24) a 2005 H2 with 237,000 miles, white with black interior, rust free on 37s for $5000.
Good info to know on the 08-09, however the 6.2 is an AFM engine. Until you do an AFM delete they become a lifter ticking nightmare. Can't believe the H2 has such a weak towing capacity compared to the Yukon Denali with the same motor.
No afm in the early editions of the 6.2 and not in the H2
The original Humvee had the helicopter lift point that were attached to the frame and came up through the hood. For the H2 they have that simulated lifting apparatus attached to the hood itself. Some things like that should just be eliminated. They make the vehicle look even cheesier than it already is.
If you hold down the Auto button and it will sync driver and passenger climate zones turning on both arrows in the display.
For being a vehicle that looks large on the outside, the inside is relatively small and cramped. We looked at a 2009 back in the day and decided to buy an Armada instead as it had way more room on inside. We ended up owning 5 Armadas over the years; 2019 was the last one. All of them were reliable and great SUVs for us. We bought a 2020 Silverado 1500 Duramax to replace the last Armada. We loved that truck. Recently we decided to buy a 24 MB GLS AMG. We will see if I regret our session.
My boy got his for his 16th and still loves it even after he realizes how bad it is to drive. "It still one of the coolest cars in the parking lot."
Is there an aftermarket cure for the vagueness in the steering (beyond the obvious like making sure tie rods etc. are up to snuff.)
I wish I could buy as many cars as this guy does.
Sweet Gemini tee at the end of the video. Represent Cedar point
The hissing sound is just bad grounds/cheap rca cables in the sound system install. The factory sub is probably blown as well.
I have the same H2. Do you know if it has a cabin air filter? I was told from a mechanic that it does not have one. Is this true?
That driveway looks like a 2000s rappers house lol
No to mechanical cooling fans? Some of us still enjoy the growl at cold start. Especially in a gruff truck.
Yeah everything's cool,
I just had to take care of a little problem.
Need For Speed Underground 2 opening cutscene.
All those rattles makes it sound like a school bus hahahahah
I would love to see you supercharging it
Get that sucker up to maybe 140 horsepower!
If your speakers are getting feedback; Check audio devices for a weak/loose ground connection. GL
I love the Hummer h2 I own one myself they are the coolest vehicles around and will go up in value here soon when they become a classic.
Bought mine 6 months ago. Same color and year as his, but in MUCH better condition. I drive it daily, but my commute is short so I’m not adding much mileage. It only has 104,000.
I have one of these. I only drive it on weekends and yeah it’s rough but kinda fun haha
I used to tow my Saturn when i delivered new RV.s and trucks put over a million miles on it but went threw a bunch of tires and suspension parts. Anyway good buy Sorta
It has independed rear suspension in the front?
i call them Pavement princesses.🤣
I’d be curious to see a video where you experiment with towing it and seeing if the mileage goes up.
Check the belt stretch i8ndicator on the tensioner. The belt may bey stretched beyond limit
