Cartoon Postage Stamps & Giveaway Winner Announcement

In this episode of Snail Mail with Smokey we take a look at three pieces of incoming mail that I recently received from a viewer in Singapore. Together we will unbox and discover a variety of postcards, souvenir sheets and cartoon themed postage stamps.

I looove circle shaped stamps! They are so cute 😊 I grew up with Looney Tunes but I like all the Sanrio characters (Hello Kitty, Kuromi, etc). Great stamps!

Love the cartoon stamps and souvenir sheets. As a kid I used to watch a lot of cartoons, but my favourites were Astro Boy and Doraemon, so it was nice to see some Doraemon stamps in the mix. Needless to say, I'm also a big Winnie the Pooh fan, so nice to see those too.

😎🎺🎶Jeff🎉!. Comic strips , cartoons on stamps Smokey are priceless for me. I grew up back in the 60s , there were so many great cartoons but my top 3 favorites as a kid were The Mighty Hercules , Ruff & Reddy , The Alvin Show! When it comes to Disney characters my #1 favorite is Scamp ( Lady and The Tramp's son) followed by Gyro Gearloose ( from the Donald Duck family of characters). Actually Snoopy's friend is Woodstock not Woodchuck😄! Cartoon stamps and foreign country stamps - late 1940s-1960s - that I would see in comic books and magazines capture my attention and affection so intensely I can't explain why. I cast my vote for more of your cartoon stamps! Thanks Smokey for bringing back happy memories!

These Japanese "Greetings" stamps are on my shortlist of stamps I prefer used over mint - mint are just a sheet of stickers and I don't feel that philatelic magic.
