- After moving the two SVS PB1000 PRO Subwoofers to the rear wall using the SVS Wireless Adapters, I had an issue with some unwanted 'popping' noises coming from the subs. After multiple attempts to try to resolve the issue and retain the wireless adapters, they were returned. This video is how I installed two 50' RCA Cables to hardwire the rear subwoofers. Attaching a piece of string to the RCA cables so you can still pull something through the tubing is brilliant. It's one of those things you'd only think about after you did it wrong the first time 😅
I almost forgot to do it to be honest - glad I remembered though! Hopefully won't have to use it but it's there just in case. The fish tools do go through the PVC as well so not a huge deal I guess.
Well done. There are no limits, effort or financial, for audiophiles when they are determined to achieve their goal of great sound and clean installation.
Thank you very much! And I couldn't agree with you more 👍
I HATE fishing wire. Good job pulling that off. I have a slightly similar situation. I pre wired 1 RG6 run to behind my seating that works great. However, I decided to add a second sub to that location. I'm trying out the svs wireless (tri band version) when it arrives Friday. Hopefully it works to my standards. If not, I'll either have to use the same signal as the 1st sub & run them both with the same delay (which I doubt I'll like). Or buy a 2nd minidsp for that location (which will be annoying when adjusting all the subs). I'm crossing my fingers that the tri band works!
Thanks - and good luck! I hope it works for you as well. I know the specs on the tri band are much better so hopefully you'll be good to go! 🤞
Was wondering about doing something very similar with the SVS wireless adapters. Thanks for the video. I’ll be running a wire now
You're welcome! I always wondered if the tri-band adapters would've worked better, but just too much expense for me, especially having to buy 2 kits so I can individually control each sub for time alignment/EQ purposes.
Nice job!
Thank you!
I was having lunch with a colleague of mine and turns out he was a home theater nut also and in the middle of a theater build now. That made me want to check out your progress. Looks great. I went to my subscriptions to find your channel and found out the I have been unsubscribed from your channel. No idea how or why or if you need to be notified but I thought I would let you know. I am now re-subscribed. Seems like you will always be adding to your setup. All I ever add is a new movie poster or decoration. Although he did get me thinking about adding another sub. He mentioned that I may be missing out on just having the 1, 12".
Thanks for bringing it to my attention but I have no idea why or what would've happened. While I am getting close, I agree that I might never be done with it! 😂 I love tweaking things and trying to squeeze the most performance out of it that I can. Still have lots to do so stay tuned! Thanks for watching and subscribing 👍
I’m in the planning phase at the moment for my home theater. It’s going to be part of new addition for an additional space for our home. My dedicated theater will be a room within a room 21’feet width, 30’+ feet length, inside of a 28’ foot width by 60’ foot length space on the second floor. I will have access to both sides the full length of the theater, with a walkway of 3’ foot width on both sides. Easy way to run cables and what not, and for speakers placement to not take up space in the actual theater room. Going with 12’ ceilings. Behind the screen LCR and subs, in a access space for those as well.
That sounds awesome! Take lots of pictures of your progress along the way. And have fun!
Don't you have change the delays in the Minidsp and re-run Audyssey? The wireless adapter adds its own delay to the mix.
Yes you are absolutely correct on this. I forgot to mention that in the video but I did go through the steps and made only a few small changes to the rear subs to get everything back in time again.
Please make a video on decision journey for the front wall subwoofers. They seem to be infinite baffle.

I thought I had an acid trip 2:30
If it's a sealed and glued pipe you can make a little bag and tie a string to the bag and suck it through with a vacuum at the other end or just use a fish tape
What is going be the first movie you going to watch when you’re home theater is done?
We've watched several movies already on it. The most recent was Sing 2, although when streamed from Amazon Prime Video I don't think it had an Atmos track to the movie. It was still great though! For the most part it's totally watchable and useable now, just have some small things to accomplish still.
@@TyEichele cool but disc is best way go to watch movies. When my home theater got done i watch Avatar on blu ray.
@@victorpulos823 Oh I agree physical media for sure is the best. I've watched Bumblebee ok a 4k UHD disc and it was amazing! Can't wait to watch more 🙂
@@TyEichele You’ll be more satisfied with physical media than streaming
Are those monoprice angled stmos speakers and how do you like them?
They are by Home Theater Direct. Details here:

I'm very happy with them!
@@TyEichele I'll give them a look.
Thank you
How long of an rca run can you do without worrying about noise?
Good question! I think there are a lot of factors that can come into play here. A lot of it will depend on the quality of cable you are using. A good shielded cable should have no issues at 50' or even longer. Also depends on the environment and what kind of interference the cable might come into contact with. You could run into a ground loop hum potentially as a side effect of a longer run as well. I luckily have no issues at all with mine. They are pretty isolated cables, and are also sheilded to help with that as well. Hope this helps answer your question and thanks for watching!
in the future i would recommend not using sch 40 pvc pipe. use 2" central vac pipe, bigger, easier to cut, less expensive
Good to know thanks!
