Thanks for the video! I really appreciate you showing us so much of the trail system, and I also really appreciate you leaving in your mistakes/crashes/falls, it helps me understand my own limitations better and really know what to watch out for!
Hi! I like the metrics you added on the lower left-hand part of the vid. I've seen a lot of bike trail vids and I think you're the first one to put an image of the trail with a red dot that shows your progress through the trail...really cool!
Love these videos and the heart rate/speed stats. Very inspiring. No ego. Love your honesty where you talk about not being ready to tackle a particular feature. A real model for MTB progress and safety.
I found this channel off of Trailforks, and it's really good! I just did this trail today for the first time, and as an intermediate rider it was very tricky, but impressive how many ladder bridges were constructed and how sturdy they are. I really like the tracker on the map, how did you edit/make that?
Thanks! Most trails in the Don, if not all, are not labeled, but once you find the entrance they are mostly easy to follow, it just depends on the trail difficulty
There’s a trail on Trailforks called PA Upline, that goes from Beaver Flats to Party Atmo, skipping Catalyst. Do you know where that trail is? If so, any tips for finding/riding it?
Yes, it is after you get through the first usually muddy section that has a small wooden feature. You can see the entrance to the left in my Beaver flats video, minute 5:46. I have ridden that shortcut before and it is a climb that is usually overgrown and it puts you in the switchback/berms section at the beginning of PA
Its honestly not worth riding, as it skips catalyst and the fast berms at the start of PA. the ‘old catalyst’ climb is IMO the best option up if your looking to skip part of catalyst
I used to lived at Yonge Eglinton , rode this almost daily every summer for 20 yrs , thanks for posting , bring back sweet memory !
That’s awesome!
appreciate the educational video. I usually take Beaver Flats but after seeing your video I think I can add this into my route!
Thanks! Have fun riding catalyst :)

Thanks Jeff! I use Garmin VIRB to overlay my stats to the video and then edit with Davinci Resolve.
I like the HUD . Its cool
Love your video's. Are the trails easy to find and ride meaning labeled properly?
Thanks! Most trails in the Don, if not all, are not labeled, but once you find the entrance they are mostly easy to follow, it just depends on the trail difficulty
@@WhatTheTrail are they labeled at the beginning of the trail the difficulty?
No they don’t have any label for name or difficulty, the best way to check is using Trailforks.

@@WhatTheTrail Amazing, thanks so much! Thought that was maybe it, but it was more overgrown than I expected. Great videos, keep crushing it!

@@5beve68 thanks! Good to know. I feel like I should probably just get good and run both start to finish
"This bridge is not hard but..." looks hard to me
😅 I guess compared to other parts of the trail
Come to the North Shore...
@@briannyob7799 only in my dreams.... LOL that is way out of league both in skill and budget
@@nostr8ghtlinzs596 you'd be surprised at the variety of trails and the levels of progression.
