How I Sew a Pouch

A DIY - do it yourself sewing machine project for beginners - a jute pouch. With very basic stitching we will sew a jute burlap gift bag that can be used for product packaging, wedding gits etc.. We will also learn an easy and affordable way of setting snaps. We use the Singer Heavy Duty Sewing machine 4432.
CHAPTERS:
00:50 Introducing jute - a very rustic material. Costs about $1-1.5 per meter. We will use about one meter per bag. You can order them in different widths. So, measure your product and determine your desired width to fit your product before ordering.
01:37 We will first measure the length we need before cutting.
02:02 Mark where to cut and cut with scissors.
02:35 Explaining the thread - we will want to use thread with identical color to the jute, so we have an old gold nylon bonded thread size 69.
03:10 Match the bobbin thread color too.
03:35 Sewing first top side with a zigzag stitch.

05:00 Fold the burlap in two.

07:15 There is a small bird's nest - the thread bunched up. We have a video on our channel showing how to avoid that.
