Doesn't binaural refer to the use of both ears so binaural is usually used to refer to music that emphasizes a different in the left to right channel drastically. I've done tests on the lav town frequency thing and you're right. The only thing that's in that frequency range are artifacts of the equipment, or just regular high frequency harmonics that are usually in songs, but kind of harsh in this one
The Mario Galaxy thing is soooo relatable, I don’t think any other game has ever made me feel the same way, even BotW and TotK. Anyways, great quality upload as always, the longer format works really well for you ! Looking forward to the USSR/Russia vid if that ever sees the light of day

Good video, atmosphere in Nintendo games is a topic that not many people delve into, and there are good example on their franchises.
From Zelda I would also include Wind Waker with the amazing Dragon Roost Island and the rito reminiscence to Peruvian music and culture. And Skyward Sword with the merge of music and sentimentality in the cutscenes and overall aesthetic.
And of course the incredibly dense and atmospheric vibes of the scenary, isolation and music of Metroid with the superb example of Prime.
Another Nintendo published game you should talked about is Eternal Darkness.
I remember the summer I played wind waker during school break.
I was so immersed it was as if I was feeling the bobbing of the boat and splashes of water hitting me. Each time I embarked upon land I smelled the freshly cut blades of grass in the sea breeze while soaking in the sun.
This is amazing why the hell doesn’t this have more views

I personally prefer breath of the wild to tears of the kingdom. Mainly because I think I played tears wrong, totk has a much better story than botw which made it a bit more linear (but not really). Lookout landing especially, I went there only once or twice throughout the game for the odd side quest, but never for the main story. This meant I missed out on hearing about he world and the regions. Instead opting to go to them like botw instead of checking back at lookout landing after each one to see the world’s state progress. This also meant I accidentally did the whole mineru story arc without any context and never got to do the riddle. Totk left me feeling like I had played it wrong and missed out on some of its aspects, whereas the whole time in botw I felt like I was more connected to the game just because of its simplicity.

Yeah, I’m a libertarian now.
The world atmosphere and the music what hold it together one of my main reasons why I love Monster Hunter series.
But speaking about Nintendo titles, similar how atmosphere of Animal Crossing is set the mood and do the vibes (not only by visual and music but by mechanics as well. And yes, I'm not talking only about New Horizons)...
Splatoon. Oh man. Even if it dosen't have a full expanded world, I love tone, details and general vibe of it. It's so full of energy, and best of all it didn't feel fake. (You know the games what TRY to be 'cool kids' type of games.).
And the last mention is kinda hard, cause it's not the game you can finish fully about a week and get it atmosphere, but man it have one and it's great.
Drastically different from top mentions, but, Warframe.
Never expected in my life to see what 'funny f2p pew pew space ninja game' actually care about world building, atmosphere, story and overall vibe.
Sadly, unlike any other games what represent itself really fast, that one is only start to show you it's truly face after at least 100 hours minimum. Way too long, but I still want to mention it, at least for people who is also played enough to get what I'm talking about.
And, thanks for the good content. Good reminder why Nintendo games so captive most of the times.

I would recommend it. It’s a sick game.
I play tears of the kingdom and the same way, I turn off my sages and go into pro mode and just enjoy walking around for the most part. Even though I can build stuff pretty well, I’d rather just enjoy the experience of simply walking.

hey man this is a really excellent video and i enjoyed it a lot, there aren't nearly enough people who talk more about the aesthetics and creative choices of games than gameplay. however, you spoiled a thing i havent dont yet in botw and that made me sad :( i've played through almost all of the game so i honestly didnt think there were any major "dude holy shit" moments left so maybe if youre gonna talk about special moments in games like that in a future video perhaps include a warning about em?
