Super content - as usual. Thanks.
Thanks Boom!👍
Fantastic! I have done this kind of thing a bit in DADGAD but this video really provides a lot more ideas to try out, thanks!
Thanks Qwarks, appreciated!👍
Nice tone code 👍🎸 Helpful!
Thanks mate!👍
i liked that song you made out of it that was awesome!!
Thanks Brian, appreciated!👍👍👍
Nice name, it will be easy to remember given my first name. Great demonstration. I learn something every day. Thumbs up 6 ! LyDia ♫♪♫
Thanks LyDia! Yeah, the lydian mode is a really interesting sound. It was also used really well by the great French composers Ravel and Debussey👍
@@CliffordMartinOnline Thank's !!
One of my favourite modes nice video cliff 👍 phil
Thanks Phil, Yeah I agree, it always seems to work really well with the resonance of the open guitar strings!👍
I find this idea works really well in open tunings, like DADGAG, Open G, Open D, etc. but nice to hear it applied in standard tuning. To my ears, very reminiscent of ideas John McLaughlin and Jimmy Page use in their acoustic playing.
Hi Kirk, Yeah, it's that sort of Page, McLaughlin English way of implying an Indian sound. I've only ever used this in standard tuning, I will give DADGAG a go, thanks👍
Wowww..that was fantastic guitar strumming style. Sounds cool.
Thanks mate, appreciated!👍
Very nice. Sounds quite Shakti.
Thanks Patrick!👍
the mahavishnu is strong in this one
Thanks, Yeah, it's a sort of Mahavishnu meets Shakti thing. It's amazing the big sound that comes out of the guitar with octaves and open strings, great for composing tunes as well.👍
