      Thanks LyDia! Yeah, the lydian mode is a really interesting sound. It was also used really well by the great French composers Ravel and Debussey👍

    I find this idea works really well in open tunings, like DADGAG, Open G, Open D, etc. but nice to hear it applied in standard tuning. To my ears, very reminiscent of ideas John McLaughlin and Jimmy Page use in their acoustic playing.

      Hi Kirk, Yeah, it's that sort of Page, McLaughlin English way of implying an Indian sound. I've only ever used this in standard tuning, I will give DADGAG a go, thanks👍

      Thanks, Yeah, it's a sort of Mahavishnu meets Shakti thing. It's amazing the big sound that comes out of the guitar with octaves and open strings, great for composing tunes as well.👍
