My daughter got 20 mistakes in 195 countries and she is only in Grade 2.

Missed 65 countries, only got 130 :( Been a long time since middle school... forgot where the countries in central America are, and oceanic islands.... I knew the names. Former Russian colonies i mixed up..

That's some pressure. I got 33 wrong, but sometimes I failed to see which bit was being marked. If they zoomed in on some of the smaller places, islands in particular, I'd get more. I actually got about 7 easy European countries wrong, probably due to complacency. There were also about 3 that I was mumbling the start of the name and not managing it.

Missing: Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Tanzania from Africa; Dominica, Grenada and St Lucia from Central America and the Caribbean; San Marino from Europe; Nauru, Palao and Vanuatu from Oceania.

I am not sure if some of this places:Bonaire, St. Thomas,Curaçao,Virgin Islands, Aruba,Greenland, Western Sahara are independent countries ,or are cities or if they belong to a kingdom? Perhaps one or two of them are not recognize yet as a nation.I am sorry,but I'want just to be a little less ignorant,and would like to know it. Thank you, greetings and be safe you all. 🙋🏾♂️

lol this was EZ for me i know all 197 different countries
Completely aced the western hemisphere countries, did pretty well on western and northern Europe, did well on north/eastern Asia, not that terribly bad on the Middle East, completely suck at Eastern Europe, shameful I only knew the very Southern, the Northern, the horn and Eastern coastal countries of Africa. Sucked at South Eastern Asia and those Pacific countries.
47 was the first one I got wrong, but I'll get several more wrong, probably most or all in Africa. Update: now at 110, 7 wrong, 4 in Africa and 3 of the Stans (which I mix up). Final score: 170/195. The islands did me in.

Taiwan is not a country. Not one single country in the world officially recognises Taiwan as a separate country from China -- not even Taiwan, whose official name is _The Republic _*_of China!_*

About a dozen countries "recognise Taiwan". (Almost all of them US puppets, but, interestingly, not the US itself.) But that does _not_ mean that they recognise it as a separate country from China. It means that they recognise the government on the island as the legitimate government of the whole _country of China,_ i.e. the mainland of China and the Chinese island province of Taiwan.

Well, this was a good quiz until you presented a fictitious country as a real one @13:59. There is no country of Palestine. The area you claimed to be Palestine is an area of Israel known as The West Bank. You may as well put Wakanda, Shanghai-La, or Atlantis on here.

It is where I come from, in fact it seems that it's the USA that doesn't teach anything about the rest if the world. I am South African and I can literally without this map name every country in the world and how many on each continent.
Including two more that claim independence (and are) and that is Kosovo and Taiwan.
@@baroquearttanya8514 Taiwan doesn't claim independence. The government in Taipei accepts that Taiwan is an island province of China, but it is a different, rival, government to that in Beijing. The Beijing government claims both the mainland and the island, and calls itself _The People's Republic of China._ The Taipei government also claims the mainland and the island, and calls itself _The Republic of China._
