Good test. I got all of them, but had to think a second between Georgia/Armenia and between Kyrgyzstan/Tajikistan.

I am from Germany. Finished high school (Gymnasium) with 1.9. Have a bachelor and master degree in computer science.
I managed to identify around 20/50 countries.
All the economically and politically relevant countries I identified (like Russia, Turkey, China, India, Japan, Saudi-Arabia, Israel, Syria, Iran, Taiwan, Vietnam, Pakistan, Palestine).
Plus other countries for other reasons (like Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Bhutan, Indonesia).
The rest was only familiar in name and/or known to me by approximate location.
Sorry (sarcasm), my (more than mainstream) interests are in computer science, math, physics, philosophy, biology, geology, music and that only up to a certain level for each topic and sub-topic. Geography, history and linguistic isn't of much interest for me. Therefore, I only get the most relevant and mainstream part of it.
That is all fine with me. I do not feel even the slightest bit of shame and if you experience the same, you shouldn't too.

As a very very small creator myself(a different account, not this one) I love to just listen to some of the music in audio library. Moons, which was one of them playing in the video is probably my favourite.

All minus four. The Stans are hard. If you do Africa, I presume that the southern Sahara region will be equally hard. Nice test, nice pacing, and you had the guts to put Taiwan in there.
I can't keep up with Africa! The countries keep changing. The either break up or reunite to form new countries, or just change their name after gaining independence from another country

It is still an ongoing clash of different opinions between EU + friends and Russia + friends.
Criticizing the one who created the video for finding such a map is absolutely not justified.
It was most certainly not their goal to make any political statement. It was just the first map they got from a 3rd party that perfectly serves their needs, namely country guessing.
It seems like you reached a degree of bias/extremism that even the neutral, uncertain and indifferent became your enemy.

After the breakup of the Soviet Union (USSR) why didn't all the new "Stans" choose distinctly different names without the "Stan"? It just makes it that much harder to remember.
Kazakhstan Kyrgyzstan Tajikistan Turkmenistan Uzbekistan. I can deal with Pakistan and Afghanistan because they've been around for decades and were never part of the USSR. I also know Kazakhstan because it's HUGE and because of the Borat movie.
