    How about a “how idols deal with clothing” ? More specifically females.
    Companies tend to put girl into short dresses and skirts, strapless tops, etc. How do they keep they’re shorts and dresses form riding up, what bras are used (especially for strapless shirts considering there’s a lot of dancing and jumping around going on), safety shirts, etc.
    Sorry that was a lot but they’re just some things I’ve always wondered about.

    ik i posted this on your last video as well but thought i would write it again since i find the topic to be interesting to know more about! (sorry if i’m coming off as annoying :/) first of all, i’d just like to thank you for all your videos, and then i would like to request a video about idols’ relationship to fans. like what do idols think about just facing a screaming mass wherever they go, is it exciting or just annoying? what do idols appreciate most about their fans (actions, things they say etc)? in what situations are idols most comfortable with their fans, is it when fans are cheering for a performance, while being close & talking during a fansign, while doing a live stream or while reading comments written on your videos? are there certain things that idols like & dislike about their fans (once again, actions, things they say etc)? i also sometimes feel like idols constantly saying how much they love the fans might be a bit exaggerated, especially when it comes from an artist whose fans usually are quite annoying even to the artist themself. can idols really love their fans that much when they constantly get mobbed, their privacy is violated, fans are being possessive etc...? what do idols ACTUALLY think about their fans?
    i think this would be a very interesting topic to hear more about, thanks in advance!💗

      well for bigger companies like SM, JYP, Pledis, MBK and YG, I bet its hard to meet with the CEO though yes, some CEOs are still very hands on with their artists. I only see CEO of small companies like Big Hit and Source Music being close to their artist a lot. Sometimes the CEOs attend music shows with their artist just to get to know how their artists are doing and also to build connections. Just watch "The Boss is Watching" and you'll definitely notice which CEO is lose to his/her artists and that means, they get to meet each other often.

  • @geekdiggy
    @geekdiggy Před 5 lety +186

    music show producers need to move away from the culture of spastically cutting to multiple camera angles rapidly and zooming in and out for no reason. i never could understand why they think audiences would be turned on by watching the music equivalent of a really bad action movie. it butchers great choreography and totally ruins any cinematic effect of certain concepts. got a dark, mysterious song/choreo concept? too bad, PDnim will turn that shit into a high school rave.

      I think this used to be popular in the US 15-20 years ago in music videos, but after time passed it got old and annoying, and few music videos do it this way any more in the US. I suspect Korea is just going through a phase like we in the US did, and that they will eventually move past it, too. (I hope, any way!)

    You've been giving us some great info. Much thanks!
    I understand about the camera angles, but when you present on stage using a point dance, the singer comes to the point of the formation to deliver their lines,
    and it must be annoying if the camera is on the lead dancer or the visual when you're about to sing. That's why so many of us enjoy the dance practice videos
    because we can see the correct flow of the choreography and how it works with the music. I mean, that's what Kpop is all about.

    Can you talk about line distribution? Like probably how they decide who sings which part? Why sometimes main vocals get lesser lines than others? Does line distribution affect the idols themselves? Thank you and LOVE LOVE LOVE your channel ❤️❤️❤️

    • @kathyy1128
      @kathyy1128 Před 5 lety +7

      line distribution is basically how many lines a member has in a song. depending on how many members a group has, snippets of the chorus, bridge, etc. are distributed evenly/unevenly. main vocals sometimes perform less than others because of how the song was made. before it's even released, producers along with the artists determine which line is better for each person, and they do this by letting one member at a time sing the same part.
      the more parts someone has, the more spotlight they'll get while performing at music shows. it's sometimes frustrating for idols who are in groups because one person could overshadow the rest of the members. she explains a bit of it in one of her older videos and i'll put down some sources if you need anymore clarification on line distribution

      hi
      i want to know about the camera working for the kpop idols
      like all the idols
      the idols are focusing on the camera most of the time
      they look at the camera and laugh and cry, make jokes and talking with the camera.
      why is that?
      can you tell me about their job for that?

  • @guilhermecaeirodemattos
    @guilhermecaeirodemattos Před 5 lety +7

    You covered the topic from the question I posted last time. I really thank you for that and for all the other information. 😊
    For future videos, I have an additional question that might be interesting:
    Can an idol keep the clothes they use on music shows (and other performances in general) after the promotion period ends? I ask because some clothes may have special meanings for idols, given the fact that a stage might become very important for their lives.
    I know that, in some cases, they use branded clothes that are just lent to a specific performance. However, in other cases, the figurine is totally custom (like the ones WJSN wears) and I really don't know what the companies do in the end (throw away, recycle, let the idols keep).
    PS: The other reason for me to be asking that is because, if I were an idol, I would certainly keep every single piece I could and send them to my mother, because she would certainly love to collect them (I'm already 27 and she still keeps many clothes from when I was a baby).

    What is the difference between the different types of microphones (handheld, "headset")? I noticed that sometimes different members in a group have different mics, is it the idol that chooses or is it someone else? Love your videos! ♥

    • @kathyy1128
      @kathyy1128 Před 5 lety +5

      handheld are somewhat like the mics you use (for example) in karaoke/for a talent show. headsets on the other hand are similar to gamer headphones but just with the mic.
      also when you see different members with other mics it's usually personal preference to use handheld/headset. there could be other factors as well such as tech difficulties or just running out of a specific mic.
      idk if i explained that well but lmk if that answered your questions ☺

    • @Joanna_
      @Joanna_ Před 5 lety +16

      From what I read before, usually, main vocalists or rappers have a different mic (the normal one, handheld?) because handheld mics work better and give better sound projection of their voice. Then the rest will just have skin tone colored mic taped on their cheeks.
      Skin tone colored - provided by the show, low quality
      Black colored - provided by the agency, slightly higher quality
      But there's a higher quality one which is expensive and also provided by the agency (example is Blackpink Playing with Fire comeback, gfriend, B2ST/ Highlight) which is usually used in songs to give a great quality of sound while also being able to dance without using any handheld mic (esp with a lot of hand choreography).
      So it really depends on the group's agency if they're confident on their idol's voices and skills during live.
      Hope this helps! 😊

    How do music shows work regarding microphones and in-ears? I've been wondering if the group always uses their own mics that they plug into the music shows' wireless senders and receivers (the pouches) or if the music shows will sometimes provide mics. Since I've seen some group have other mics than the one with a beige puff, I'm guessing groups will often use their own mics and in-ears (since you said they can be gifted and are used by their idols).

I really appreciate it that you take the time to read the comments and to answer them in your videos! I enjoy watching them! 😊 I hope that you'll reach 100K soon! Fighting~!! 😁

How do they deal with the cold and how do they keep themselves warm? Or do they just have to suck it up to perform in the freezing cold weather in short skirts and thin clothes?
    And when idols get sick, will their manager take care of them too and give them some resting time? Or do they need to keep on working because their schedule is so busy and packed?
    Also, have you ever experienced something crazy or scary with a sasaeng? I wonder if you could tell us more about it. To me, they seem to be even worse than the paparazzi!

    I know this is a controversial topic, but what do companies do if they have a religious(?) group member? Like say one of their group members was a Christian, do they let them go to church on sundays, and things like that?

    About the screen time, what about when the foreigner idols get little to no screen time in award shows? Is it because of the biased nature of cameramen?

    • @glistinful
      @glistinful Před 5 lety +3

      I think so too as sometimes the cameramen somehow never zoom in to foreign idols and instead film another member instead 🤦‍♂️🤔

    Im just really curious, are MV's really made with those "secret" messages? Like do idols purposely put hints on their MV's and stuff? Or are we just delulu😂

      Well LOONA's certainly are, there are long videos on YT that analyze all the symbolism and hidden messages in their MVs. But most Kpop MVs are just the normal kind.

    During award shows/music shows how does rehearsal work, do the idols/groups each get there own designated time? Are other groups all ready in the building while other groups are rehearsing on stage and doing sound checks? Or does each group get designated time when they plan to rehearse meaning if one group chooses to rehearse at 10:00 a.m no other group is in the building period until their time then the previous group leaves the building and the next rehearse? Same Question for festivals.
    And at what times do rehearsals start and end before the groups actually begin performing?
    Also are the dressing rooms backstage the same as waiting rooms and are they set up in alphabetical order separated by gender?

    How do idols really feel about their fans? And their fansites? When fans follow idols around on/off schedules, do they get annoyed? When do you think fans are exceeding their boundaries (eg. sasaeng)? Anyways, I really love your videos ~

    When you're auditioning to be an idol, are the judges scary or strict?

    • @Taedubs
      @Taedubs Před 5 lety +2

      Jungoo Ssi as a person that has auditioned, they’re actually very laid back but will get straight to the point. They’ll ask you to sing and dance(for round one) and tell you whether you’re good or bad. It depends for different companies though, some can be strict.

    Do idols pay to be on the music shows or they get paid for being on the show?

    • @MarkDeSade100
      @MarkDeSade100 Před 5 lety +7

      From what I've heard, idol companies don't have to pay to get their groups on the show but they will pay the music show to build a nice set for their performance (that's why Big 3 groups have a really fancy stage and rookie groups have a bare stage with just the video screen behind them). Also considering how much competition there is to get groups on these shows, it wouldn't surprise me if PR managers were bribing music show staff to get their groups on the list.
