So Bonds and Kent fought in 2022? I guess I missed that one.
First comment! Ty Cobb with the Atlanta Braves?! Yes, Ty Cobb was born in Georgia. But the Braves were playing in Boston at the time!
Joe Tinker and Johnny Evers, Cubs teammates 1902-1912. They had an on field fight in 1905 and didn't speak to each other for 33 years. Johnny Evers was one of the smartest players of his day but also a very difficult person. He was known as the human crab.
I wonder if Cobb being from the South (Georgia) and Crawford being from the North (Nebraska) played into the animosity at all. I think back then also there was friction between Protestants and Catholics though I don't know if there was that difference and if it played into it at all.
At least on the rivalry level if not the hate level, sometimes that can push both players to play better.
Ty Cobb was an Atlanta Brave? Who knew? Lol!
Good title and thumbnail. Came up on my recommendation
thank you for the comment!
The Freddie/acuna beef was more about Freddie carrying on the Bobby Cox approach of manners, straight caps, and buttoned up shirts. Less show boating and running out hits even if it looks like it’s gonna be caught. Seems like acunq learned the lesson at least a little. Baseball is trending toward the show boaters these days to make baseball more exciting. That was the beef.
03:32 you said the date was 2022 ha ha wrong year. Ha ha
One correction: Upton was TRADED to Braves, not signed.
Ozzie Guillén and Maglio Ordóñez. ChiSox.
The Freeman/Acuna thing was blown up from nothing... that story is absolute garbage
Yes they don’t hate each other freeman didn’t see the final offer from his manager that’s why he left
There’s no such thing as a baseball match.
Yeah. I went to a fight, and a baseball game broke out. 😄😄😄😄😄😄
Semantics...
