I just wanted to say how refreshing I find it that you can manage to showcase your kids but do it in a way that is respectful of them and whatever their futures hold.
Great job Abigail! You are a natural teacher, just like your Mom. I'm so proud of you for learning about a new homestead animal, acquiring them, and being responsible for milking them and making products for your family to enjoy. And sharing your skills with us. Thank you!
Thats a Big Amen!
She has done a fantastic job. Love to see the young ones knowing how to teach us. Thank you
Agree completely!
Train up a child in the way they should go😊 you trained your children well. They know more than most adults on homesteading 😊
You don't know how happy this made me to watch this young lady doing all of the homesteading! So well spoken, just like her Mom 🙂
I LOVE seeing the kids putting what they've learned into action. You're AMAZING Parents! God bless yall! ❤
You are going to be a great teacher just like mom. Your goats are beautiful
Your daughter has Josh's eyes and Carolyn's Jaw. Really nice mix of the two of you. Love the lesson in cheese making!
And a video star is born. Well done young lady, such confidence and poise, well done mama
I adore that your daughter is out there in the herb garden barefoot, picking fresh herbs for her homemade Chev. This is exactly how I would’ve LOVED my childhood. So sweet ❤️
Great to see Abby realize the fruits of her labor and share them with us. Josh and Carolyn, thanks for raising such dynamic, smart and hard working young lady who is contributing to our world.
Instead of using the paper filter, I use a reusable coffee filter. It can be sanitized between uses and you are not having to continually buy new filters. It fits right in the top of a gallon jar. For a half gallon jar I use a funnel to set on the jar and then the coffee filter sits in that.
Good job making the cheese. !!!
Phenomenal content. I'm married to a farmer and we live on a Large farm in South Australia... with broadacre farming and raising many merino sheep.... I'm hoping to get goats to milk..... soon... after being married for 27+ years.
I'm QUITE INSPIRED. God bless. From your Vermont sister living in rural South Australia 🇺🇸🇦🇺
What a lovely and articulate young lady! Thank you Abigail for the useful lesson on milk goats and making herb chèvre!
She is a natural!! Love seeing the next generation of Homesteaders
Abigail what a wonderful tutorial, you did a spectacular job! So nice to meet Livin and Isabelle, they are beautiful does. I'm excited to see what other dairy products you make with goat milk.
Thank you so much!
I love to see kids doing this! It can motivate other children to take on a project to master too. I can't wait for my littles to be able to do this. I have one helping me a little bit at the Farmers market selling her own stuff.
Very nice to see that such a young girl enjoys working with goats and making cheese. Nice that you show how to do that here. If you have your fence in good order from the start, goats will not break out, just ensure that the power remains on.
What a well-spoken, delightful daughter you have!
she is amazing. so well spoken and knowledgable.
She is absolutely adorable. Looks like her mama. She did a fantastic job.
What a bright, young lady! Such wonderful skills!
Abigail did an amazing job going through this process! She should do more videos about her goat care! Very encouraging for those of us who have never dairy goats before! Articulate young lady! Well done!!!
That’s so nice that, even though you had your own opinions and bad experiences related to goats, your daughter felt enabled to request a chance to make her own mistakes or successes with goats. 👍🏻👏🏻
Wonderful Job Abigail and Homesteading Family ! 🎉❤
Well done young lady! Great job teaching us how to make soft cheese. ❤😊
Great video Abigail!
🤩 Thanks Carolyn for helping her highlight her skills and teach some of us old dogs new tricks. 😊 ❤
Goodness, this young woman didn’t need the adult supervision or intervention at all.. she’s marvellous and a total natural in front of the camera. You go girl! ❤
That's what I kept thinking...she doesn't need Mom's help...she did a fabulous job on her own!
Chevre is simply the French word for goat!
You go Abigail! You rock girl! So happy and proud of you!!!!! Wish I could learn directly from you!
I loved how knowledgeable and articulate Abigail is! Nice job! Super helpful! I’m glad your goats are staying put! Many blessings to you & yours!
Glad it was helpful!
Wiw!!! Abigail is a natural expert!!
Peace, Love, and Eternal Life! Wow! what a great video! and what a great job Mom and daughter. Especially Abigail!!! so knowledgable and precise with the cheese and I love the way she connects with the universe by going around barefoot! I look forward to many more! Peace!
Great job Abigail! You are a natural. Keep up the good work, and please keep sharing with us. We appreciate you!
I’d love to see a video with Abigail showing how to look after goats.
Abigail is a minnie version of you! Such a great job showing us how to make the goats milk cheese! THank you!😀
Daughter like mother!!! Great job!!!!
The most rewarding product of efforts, good natured capable healthy children ❤️
I am amazed! She is just like her mama!❤ I so love your family.
I feel like a proud big sister. Well done Abby.
You two are great together. Thanks for all the hard work and the information on making delicious cheese!
This video makes me so happy!! We are new to keeping goats and have Nigerian Dwarves. No milking yet but we'll be breeding them soon. I would love to see Abigail take us through the goats setup, the fence and the barn... I love how she explains things!
Your daughter speaks Sooo professional 🌟💯💫👍
Great seeing your kids get involved, Good Job Little Lady
I love Abigail's confidence. She clearly has done her research, and knows what she's doing! Great job. And...I'm about to go into the kitchen to try making this myself. :)
Your daughter is amazing! ❤
I think so too!
Thank you for sharing! I would really benefit seeing more of your all's milking routines, please!
The ins and outs of owning a dairy goat or cow 🤗
This is the first time I watch one of your videos. What a smart and driven young girl!! It makes me so happy to see 🙂 Well done 👏
Thank God for your family.
Abigail, you are a terrific presenter. A confident and knowledgeable instruction. Thank you. I am just starting learning about cheese making and am inspired by you.
Love seeing all the cheeses you are able to make on your homestead. It’s so nice to see your young ones involved in the process and enjoying the fruit of the labor. Nice job Abigail! It looks delicious!
My nubians, kiko, nor lamancha ever get out by means of mischief. I'll never buy Nigerian dwarfs again though. They are tiny escape artists. So glad to see this video. I've made feta and mozzarella, but I've been meaning to try cheve, so now I will do that.
I strain my milk into jars in and icechest next to a frozen jug of salt water, the icechest sits in my wheel barrow to make it easy to bring up to the house. We also move the stanchion around in the fields to follow the goats rotating pastures. So sometimes hauling the milk to the house is quite a walk (hence the wheelbarrow).
Nice to meet you Abigail! You did a wonderful job on your chèvre cheese video. I look forward to seeing you again.
So lovely to see your daughter and learn from this video. She reminds me so much of you! Thank you
So sweet. She looks just like her mom 😍 what a sweet video of you two working together and of making great cheese. I'm gonna try it at home. Thanks!
Wonderful job, Abigail! The chevre looks absolutely delicious. ~ Michele
Your daughter is so sweet! Love this!!
She is amazing lovely girl hope Al lot of girls in her age learn from her
I'm so excited! I have Nubians,!
I'm looking forward to more from Abigail and her goat milk!
She did a wonderful job demonstrating and teaching us. Great video!
Glad it was helpful!
Using cows milk is how I make my own queso fresca cheese ! It’s amazing !
Thank you for taking the time to comment! I appreciate your knowledge here regarding Queso Fresca Cheese as it is my favorite! I am still a newbie when it comes to making cheese! I am inspired to use cows milk instead!
Love the new girls on the block. The milk only taste "goaty" once it isn't fresh anymore.
Saving this! Good job, ladies!
😁👍
Yay! Thank you!
I love goat's milk cheese.
Amazing cheese making skills Abbey , love from Türkiye 🇹🇷
Great job there lil Mom, so cute and explained very well. TY God Bless
Well done young lady
Abby, you’re doing a great job! Are you going to breed your goats? Does your state have shows? Genetics is thoroughly amazing and I’d love to see more videos on your goats if you do. (Like, when I first saw you and thought you looked like your dad until you smiled 😊 and you have your mother’s beautiful smile). Even if you don’t, I love your recipe for the chèvre and would like to see more recipes. Can you make butter, yogurt, etc.? Show us what you can do with goat’s milk. I love that you aren’t afraid of the camera. You tell us what we need to know clearly and concisely. Great job! 🎉
Wonderful! I really enjoy watching the kiddos doing this type of stuff. It sounds like she really did her homework first, before jumping right in. Great job Abigail!
She did an awesome job, so well spoken. Makes me want to make cheese.
Thank you so much for sharing these new skills, and experience with having goats. We are hoping to one day do the same, and this has been very inspirational for me, to keep that goal moving forward, and taking steps to get there.
She did a great job! Great video Abigail!
That's your mini me! She has Josh's resting face. Glad to see the children being taught life skills. Good job!
Love Chev. My favorite.
Way to go Abby 👍🏽
If this were made with cows milk it would be a cheese we eat in Mexico on freshly made corn tortillas called requesón
What a beautiful, intelligent and well spoken young lady! Good job, mom and dad!
What a beautiful young lady. She will go well in life for sure.
Good job Abigail! I saved the recipe to make.
Great video, great job training up your children, well done!❤
She did wonderful 😊
Thank you for this video 😊 I save whey for soda bread, nice rise with the vinegar. Abigail, you made all of the moms and dads proud today!
I'm glad you mentioned that - I'm about to make this recipe, and I already had plans to make soda bread this week. I would't have thought to use the whey in the bread, but now I will. Thank you!
Great job young lady ! My daughter is almost 9 and I'm hoping she will want to have a goat milk project soon. For the time being she's just observing me do all the milking etc.😊
It's been a pleasure following your channel. I'm looking forward to start putting so many of your videos in practice, your homestead being a lovely example. However, Abigail inspired me to try to make cheese now! So I did, and it is delicious! Thank you, dear!
Thanks for watching!
Oh my gosh 😅 those goats were well trained and that girl is SO well spoken. Thank you Abigale!! Good job
Good job Abigail! So nice to see children that have homemaking skills, good job parents.....
New to your channel. Love that you involve your daughter in the process. She makes a great video.
Abigail is a great teacher! I love her personality and how she speaks so clearly. I hope she can teach us more about her goats! I l'd love to learn as I'd love to have goats one day too.
Awesome job! Abigail know her stuff!
Bravo Abigail👏🙌🥳🐐
Great video Abigail! I must say my nans were much more difficult to milk. Your girl is a doll.
Good job Abigail!
Loved seeing this. There is hope for the future.
Great job and so we’ll spoken (no surprise from great parents). I so miss making goat cheese! Until we can afford goat fencing, had to switch to sheep, as they would get onto road 😳. ❤ all y’all, Kristy in Missouri zone 6b 😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love this video! We have Kinder goats, which are a pygmy/nubian cross and we just adore them. So friendly, great tasting milk, and a nice volume of milk too. I was so excited to hear you guys got goats! 😄
I’d love more goat videos!
What a great video and very clear instructions Abigail!!! Very informative and perfectly presented. Nice job!! 👏🏻 👏🏻
I found a very tight mesh coffee strainer works great to strain the milk and I do not need to buy filters. Great job!
Awesome job and it looked so yummy specially with the herbs.
Love that you added herbs while heating, never did that! My favorite I made was jalapeño cilantro!!!
Love to see your kids pursuing their own hobbies! We have Nubians and my kids enjoy milking as well. Haven’t tried cheese yet, but it’s coming up!
ok, if she can make cheese...so can I. I bought everything two years ago when I signed up for your cheesemaking class and still haven't made cheese.
