Alex Sandro Silva Pereira[1] (born 7 July 1987) is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist and former kickboxer. He currently competes in the Light Heavyweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and a former UFC Middleweight Champion. He is the ninth fighter in UFC history to become champion in two different weight divisions and the first to become champion in both the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions of the organization. In kickboxing, he is a former Glory middleweight and light heavyweight champion, and is the first and only fighter to have held Glory titles in two weight classes simultaneously. Pereira also competed in promotions such as It's Showtime and SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship in kickboxing, and for Jungle Fight and Legacy Fighting Alliance in MMA. As of 20 February 2024, he is #4 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings. Pereira is the only known fighter to be a two-division world champion in MMA and kickboxing and is regarded as one of the greatest combat athletes of all time.

Yeah the sequence when Hill goes for the fist bump even before Herb tells them to and Alex ignored it and he scratched his chin and then camera pans to Alex and he has the coldest look I have ever seen lol.

I mean it does happen but ud8iys because of something yout opponent set you up for. Jamal hills fight iq is so low that Alex didn't even change his game plan from Sean strickland. I used to not mind jamal but he's become one of the Saltiest fighters on the roster. I actually want to see Roundtree knock him out as well
Ya exactly, the whole reason Alex called off Herb is because he was setting up that shot. U didn't "get caught" when ur opponent set u up to take that shot
If Alex's opponents didn't all have such huge egos and did what the Greek did and wrestled him maybe would would see more flaws but only the Greek who knew Alex as a great kickboxer from Glory was smart and nonegotisical enough to focus on wrestling

With Alex he is one of few fighters who got KOed and it’s like it didn’t even matter. He got flatlined and Izzy took him out cold but Alex made people forget about it immediately by getting in there 3 months later and beating Jan the last guy who beat Izzy lol. Moving up and not cutting to 85 instantly helped his ability to take a shot even after such a KO. It kinda just proved that he shouldn’t have been cutting so much weight. More than anything it was like “finally” when Izzy won given he had so many try’s before he finally got his hand raised. On a side note Bruna Silva survived all the shots be took and it was a close fight but he was never the same after. His chin was completely gone after the fight.
At the end of the Silva fight he just collapses to his knees while Alex stayed standing. He might have gone the distance, but it took everything he had and then some to do it. Honestly a quick knockdown into TKO probably would've been better for him rather than taking all that punishment over 3 rounds.
Poatan broke his toes in the first round of the Bruno fight and had to stop throwing leg kicks. He still won by Unanimous decision and broke Bruno’s nose ☝️🤔

Not revenge... justice Poatan has already said he wants to save Izzy like Izzy saved him. I think bad blood is gone for Poatan its more of a competition now. Listen when Alex talks about Izzy. He always gives Izzy compliments calling him a real warrior a real champion. It's Izzy who can't let the hatred go.
Alex opponents downplaying his skills always makes his wins more satisfying. He's cool 😎.

As a fan of alex, i only had fear for pereira was from jan and ankalaev. i knew already from the begining that rest would be fodder step of the ladder for him. Given the win against jan i am sceptical about ankalaev fight result would be the same
Jamahal is and always has been trash... Ankalaev actually has skill and potential... but, even Ankalaev said he wants to strike and proove a point... which means he will lose.

Izzy and Alex have the potential to be a legendary rivalry, just like Ali and Fraser. But Izzy doesn't want to take another chance against him. Even though a 2nd division championship fight is there for him with the best dance partner he'll ever get. He thinks the last performance against Alex is all that matters, but no one else because he took 4 fights to do it

Hmm, nowadays whenever I see a channel with no "face" on camera, that's just clips with a voiceover, I basically always assume it's an AI voice unless shown otherwise.
