I still remember this match. After early two wickets of Jaya and Kalu, they way Arvinda played with agression under pressure and infront of noisy fully packed stadium of indian supporter. It is truely a Lion Heart.

Thereafter india team could add only 120 runs for 8 wickets to the board after that, the match had to be stopped in that moment cause protest of indian crowd. Finally our team could select to the final of the WC96.

Even though I am Sri Lankan, I felt sorry for Vinod Kambli. He was an exceptionally talented batsman who never did get the chances he deserved, and him openly crying when the match was defaulted was heartbreaking. This was the match in which Sri Lanka was challenged the most in the 1996 world cup, the only match in which all 11 batsmen had to come out.
