In this video , I'm finally going to tune my BMW E36 with the M52B28 . In the first part , we going to work on the Ignition Timing Table . We going to try to hit the MBT ( Maximum Brake Torque ) Ignition Timing , with the stock ECU Siemens MS 41.0 .

Yes it is not so hard , but is time consuming , if you want to do it more precisely

If you use e85 fuel You can tune lower load ignition timing to get better fuel economy

Great video! One question, for MS42 i have Euro 2 and Euro 3 maps. Euro 2 maps have more fueling, but less ignition advance, up to 10ºless in mid range. Should I use Euro 2 maps and do the ignition tuning like you? Why the Euro 2 stock maps have up to 10º less of advance than the Euro 3? Greetings.

As I said in the video , we have plenty of fuel , there is no point adding fuel in already rich condition . Overly rich mixture is going to decrease power

How do you scale the load axis to extend max load to 1024?
Do you know if the ms41 ECU will work correctly(in regards to timing and other options ) if the engine has a LPG conversion done to it which adds a separate ECU for fueling the gas(sort of like a piggy back system)? Or will the stock ECU go haywire?
Just log it while on LPG.
Hey can you also Show how to Programm pops and bangs out of the exhaust when you let the trothle ? And Are the parameters for hard rev Limiter the Same on 323 ?

why did you add/reduce 1.0 degree?
its more accurate to add/reduce by 0.75 or 0.375
I organized an engine. Pistons 80mm but crankshaft and arms 2.8. Ecu ms41. Intake manifold m50b25. Injectors pink color 2.8. Suction cam m54b30. Flowmeter 2.8. Gasoline pressure regulator 3.5 bar. Cold weather kit. Headers. Double inlet double outlet exhaust. Well should I do chip tuning. Would it help. Do I really have extra power

Thanks Nico ! Nothing crazy in driveability behavior actually . Just a little bit less torque in the low to mid range rpms .

This is the easiest part of "tunning" ms41 :D Just change Hysteresis A to 0 and B to 32 :) for the best resoults !

How would you flash an ecu from an automatic to manual after doing a manual swap?
You'll need to get the exact same map but from a manual version of your car from someone or maybe you can find one on the internet. And you'll also need to do ews off

CRANK In trying to decide if I want to change to ms41 or stick with old Bosch 413 , I have already modded the 413 with a Miller warchip (mappable) but can’t use it in alphaN mode and I’m hoping to use s50 itbs and alphaN would be great with that set up as the engine is already modded too! M50 (b28 stroker ) cams ported head and euro s50 exhaust manifold !
@@billytremoloband7456 MS41 is much better choice. S50 ITBs sux for M50 M52 engines. If you going to go with ITBs you going to need some aftermarket ones.

CRANK must defo try track down ms41 and loom! I wouldn’t mind I probably dumped a few of them before as that time no one locally could map them but as of last week if started working in a tuning shop that do a shit load of BMWs!
