Have you seen the work of Caleb Stein? He has a book called “How to Move a Mountain.” It’s about the creation of marble statues.
Also, “Carrara” by William Wylie. Great 8x10 work based around a quarry.
Wylie’s been on my mind recently. I’m actually talking about him a bit in a future video. Lovely black and white work.

    Hi, Robbie.
You did a heck of a job, my friend.
    Stunning video with excellent pictures.
I really like the color of the Kodak film.
I enjoyed looking at this video.
    Till the next one.
    Antoine.

Always enjoy your photo ambles and images shared. Great that you can (hopefully) visit a number of times and get a real feel for the place.

Love your images and content, and you of course. A truly grounded guy showing us what can be done.

I did nearly the same trip to a limestone quarry here in the UK last weekend. Very chilled these places and many subjects to shoot :)

I enjoyed this very much, beautiful images, fabulous moody sky and gorgeous colours. I too am fascinated by the ways man and nature interact and I hope we see more of this place in the future. The image of the coats was fantastic, really told a story.

This brings back memories from my boyhood when me and my friends would explore the local quarry. Places like this is like a magnet to young boys, we just gotta know what's going on in there 😄
Glad you went with color film, I think the patches of green need to stand out as a contrast to the dull grey.
If you go with b&w next time I'll say "glad you went b&w because the colors can be distracting 😎

Loved the image of the jackets hanging up, so much sweat equity and graft ingrained in them. Thanks for sharing

It's interesting, typically when you are standing on the edge of a granite cliff in New England, rocks perched on rocks are safe to stand on and are typically backed up by millions of years of geological history - but here, it's man-made and I guess you have to be much more careful!

haha the rock I was standing on was a rock that fell and was just sitting on a smaller rock. I know that statistically they don't tend to slip or move but it seems far more sketchy when I was the one standing on it.

@@RobbieMaynardCreates I tried searching around for old granite quarries here and there are way too many. None of them really matched. Apparently there is one like a mile from my house that I thought was just a functioning gravel pit.
