the Germans act like they were expecting them all along. but in reality while yes they were expecting them 1. they were expecting them to land at a completely different place
2. the day they landed completely caught the Germans off guard as the weather was not right for landing. so off guard in fact that Erwin Rommel (the guy in charge) had gone home that day for his wife's birthday
other than the historic inaccuracy, good job

there wold be no us flag as the boats were British and so were the boat drivers also / as well / (: (:
and the Germans were not ready for the attack and they were pissing themselves the entire time .
unlike the Americans, which were happy as they thought all the germans were killed by the bombing they did .
and they stayed happy ,and, singing songs in there boats, until a ,boat, was hit with an 88. (:

also while im at dday things heres some random history (:
the beach was 300 yards long
there were no towering pillboxes
the obstetrical's on the beach were not all x shaped hedgehogs there were only 2 rows of them at the top of the beach
the most us troops were killed my artillery not mg fire
the shingle was concrete not sand
the us troops stayed in the water and moved up with the tide to make them selves smaller and to avoid / protect themselves from mg fire
the us troops were more scared of mines and artillery than mg fire
the boats hold 30 people witch you kinda got right (:
the mg 42 can only fire for 2 sec before it overheats and all that (:
oh and the Americans were not scared at the beginning as the thought the germans were all dead
also the german generals were not there as they did not expect an attack
I am aware of D-Days history, in fact World War 2 as a whole is probably my favorite subject to study, but that’s why it’s called a short film not a historically accurate one!😂
I appreciate the comment, and trust me if I had the time to make a massive Omaha beach lay out with a more accurate story I would. This is simply for entertainment and it makes the most sense to show an American flag because that is the easiest way to describe the situation. A stop motion video takes more time than you may think, and for a channel this small I was just trying to produce a simple video on something I’m interested in.
Maybe In the future if my channel reaches more people I will make a video series including the historical values of WW2 as well. However at the moment that is not going to work.
