Ok now that I have watched five times I got it all. First time I saw your shirt and had a flashback to my favorite cartoon. Second time went so fast I got confused and changed the oil in my neighbors Tesla. Third time went so fast I ended up in the crawlspace thinking I was trapped in a coal mine. Fourth time was better I only ended up on the roof with my .22 air rifle shooting at satellites. Fifth time I got it and my old Poulan blower has never ran so good, wait I don't own an old Poulan blower................ oh boy 😩

Dumping the fuel in a clear vessel is one of the most useful diagnostic techniques since ethanol fuel has been around.
That and placing a drop on a piece of paper to check for oil. Or diesel!!
Yes and that's why it's better to use alkylate fuel like the Stihl or Aspen .. .
Great comments. What should I be looking for? I have ran saws a long time but just always mix it myself and only a gallon at a time so its always fresh. How do you know visually that it's a bad mix?

If it looks cloudy, it's most likely got moisture in it.
I just put one of these in service after having never used it since I got it as a present many years ago. Now she she runs great.

Thanks a lot. I like the fuel trick. Also, remove the spark arrestor from the front exhaust and clean the screen by using a simple propane torch. It burns the carbon off quickly. The arrestor comes out easily with a ratchet. Top issue with the BG55 is that screen getting clogged, especially if you use Stihl oil. I've had one for 10 years. Thanks again for posting this!
I have a had a blower that bogs i cleaned the spark arrerstor but it didnt solve it.
I notice though that when the gas was low it did run faster maybe its the fuel filter.
My kinda lady. Smart intelligent and hard working.
Our shop sees mostly all dont keep their tractors trinners n blowers simply maintained.

#1 problem I see with these in my shop is carbon build up in the spark arrestor. Easy fix remove and burn with a propane torch. Reinstall with anti-seize on the threads.

I had Seafoam in garage before deciding to not use it for cars, but strangely it seemed to help 'rejuvenate' last season's mixed gas for line trimmer sufficiently to use up the old gas. In fact, started right up.
Better to use trufuel, or stihl motomix ir husqvarna. Its more pricey stuff but it doesnt degdrade like gas station fuel.
The pump fuel starts to go bad even after 30 days

Nice. I did one last week for a friend. All it needed was a gas dump / fresh fuel. Rest of it was clean and beautiful already

Great hair dryers
Another beauty for the BG55.is using it to clean the Dyson Barrels on the floor vacuum cleaners, cleans all the crap that sticks in them, just remember to do outside....
That’s the exact blower I have. Never have had any issues with it but it’s starting to die on me. It’s disappointing, I love it so much that I don’t really want to have to buy a new one.

How did you make it so clean
Supposed to wash the filter with mild soap and then after it’s dry put several drops of Oil in it and squeeze it to distribute the oil .. then reinstall

Should probably pump the ball while emptying the fuel, the water in the line and carb can still cause issues. Love your vids.🤘🇺🇸👌

You can use the old fuel just let it sit for a while so the water can separate and very carefully remove the fuel without disturbing the layer of water underneath
I use premium 93 octane for my gas plus Stihl 2 cycle oil, I have not had any trouble

I'm an 'S' dealer and you completely missed the most common problems.Spark plug was probably ok,fuel filter isn't hurt by water,cleaning the outside of the machine and blowing out the air filter are wasted effort,replace the $4 air filter. You have a nice voice though !

You mentioned your fuel is different? Can you do a segment on fuel?
