My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We see over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

When it comes to small engines, this is my go-to expert. No bullshit and no fluff. Stays on the subject.
Oh my goodness...thank you so much for this tutorial...I have the same blower with the same issues and was fixing to take it to the shop for repair...I think this grandma can do this repair thanks to you! Be blessed and have a wonderful day!!!!
You are more knowledgeable and descriptive on repairing small engines that any GUY I have seen on this site, You GO GIRL!!
I only wish all the videos would be like this one. Very detail oriented, no bull. Thumbs up. Thanks.
Now THAT is how you make a DIY video. Clear, concise instructions combined with great video and excellent tips you will only learn from experience. Thank you for this and well done!
Darn frustrating putting in new lines for the first time since I bought it new 2007. Sadly a different vid. popped up that wasn't clear which line went where and my lines fell apart. Soooo, I had fuel filter line going to primer, then to top of carb and leave bottom of carb returning to tank. Total backwards. What should have been 20 minutes ended up being 5 + hours wasted before I got it right. Grrrrr. Wished I had found this video as she is always great at explaining clearly.
I love the way you always show a step by step on how to reassemble each piece after the repair. Your patience and knowledge is appreciated.
I'm 58 years old tinkered on engines as a kid. I appreciate your videos as I do most of my own repairs. Doing it everyday you certainly see the patterns on fuels lol which is a huge problem but specific makes and models. Thank you very much.
Best site for accurate info on 2 cycle equipment. This lady knows her business!
I just successfully changed the carburetor on mine based on watching this video a couple of times. The hardest part for me was getting the grommet to seat. Thanks so much for making such a good how-to video.
ThanYou are a ROCKSTAR! My several year old Husqvarna 125B acted just like the one you featured. I got a $20 aftermarket kit (carb, plug, fuel lines, bulb, and air filter) and it runs better that when I bought it. Local small engine wants $110 per hour plus parts. I was nervous, but your video walked me right through it. I could not have done it without you.ks!
I bought my 125B in 2016 for $150. Now (2024) $190. It definitely would not be worth taking it into a shop, cheaper to buy a new one. But $15-$30 for a new carb is well worthwhile.
I'm an old hand with small engines. I've watched some of your vids, and have to say, I'm impressed. Keep it going girl.
It’s that time of year! Carb issues galore!
Yup! Last week was throttle cable week. Four in a week is not normal.
Wrong video I know but I watched your vid on best mowers at home Depot and I took your advice. I bought a Husqvarna rider with the Kawasaki motor. I'm building a business off of this machine and after 3 weeks I love it. Thanks for the advice!
hey woman, you are something else, keep it up!!
Love your videos, quick intro and straight to the point! You are very informative, even giving tool information and you are attractive and fun to listen to.
Super well explained. To the point. Little extra tips. Problems one may run into are even added. Thanks. Great vid!
Thank you for the great explanations of each step you do during your repairs. Too many people gloss over some steps forgetting that not everyone is an experienced mechanic. Us backyard newbies appreciate your way of explaining things.
Yes😂
Theres a few property maintenance companies in southern Ontario who are very happy that you make these videos!
I've always been mechanically inclined! But there are SO MANY issues that come up.! You have saved thousands of diagnostic hours for me which helps get the tool back up & running so much faster! I can't afford a Stihl or Echo franchise. Plus they have territorial restrictions! So they wouldn't give me a franchise anywhere around customers.
I was at a franchise buying parts the other day, & when customers were bringing tools in for repair, the clerk tells them 4 weeks before they even know whzt is wrong with the tool. One guy had a recoil cord broken. I ciuld have had it replaced in 15 minutes! 😃😀😃
Thanks again Chick!
I've watched a few gas line repairs, and you are the first to make it perfectly clear on the routing of the fuel lines. Thank you.
I wasted 5+ hours because a different vid popped up first before I finally got the lines routed right. Chickanic is the best.
Love you. Love your confidence, the way you troubleshoot the problem and your demeanor.
In watching your videos, I have found solutions to all of my small engine and equipment problems. Your advice and tutorials have saved me tons of cash, because I was able to repair my machines instead of replacing them. Thank you for offering such valuable information. 😁🖖
Your instructional videos are a big help to me even though I've been working on my own equipment for 40 years. Thank you very much!
Thanks so much for all teaching you do.
I got my old Shindawa chainsaw running like a champ just by keeping at it with your advice.
Great content as usual, I still learn something new even though I have been fixing things for 50 years. Keep up the good work.
My best friend is a small engine repair instructor. You sound like him with the clear directions and demonstration. Thank you for your wonderful videos!
Have an old Stihl blower having this issue. I think I can bring it back to life with this video's help! Thanks for posting, love your channel!
Nice tutorial and thanks for the close ups, they really help.
I just found out about you being on you tube. I have watched a few of your videos and I am quite impressed! I love the step by step. Thanks for doing this! You have taught this old 74 year old guy a few things! Thanks!
Thanks for your channel and videos. I have saved almost $300 by doing the repairs and maintenance on my own equipment getting ready for the lawn care season. Several of your videos have helped me greatly.
Always the best "how to" on small engines! Thank you!
I've been battling my leaf blower for a few years and this completely resolved my issue. Thank you @Chickanic!
Very detailed and precise description of the process Bre. Great video as always! ✌🎥🇺🇸
Thanks Roger!
I always love it when someone makes a video about a question that I asked.
Thanks for your video on fixing the Husqvarna blower. I give credit where credit is due and it’s all thanks to you. My blower was acting exactly like the unit you were working on, and while the lines were not rotted yet, the fuel filter had come off the line. I was able to replace the line and filter easy enough and runs perfectly. Thanks again.
I literally just revived an echo weed eater with new carb kit. $25. Carb, primer bulbs x3 , fuel filter, spark plug and air filter. Then I tried reviving a Ryobi blower. Then I find YOU reviving a blower. 🤔
I’m definitely buying a carb kit for it as well because I disassembled it,cleaned it , compressed air put it back together, ran like a top for a day. Now it won’t start at all. Carb is clogged up. Almost the exact same reason as in your video.
Glad I found ya. Keep up the good work 🇺🇸✌️
Always love it when I get a notification that you have posted a new video. This one did not dissipoint. Good job!!
I must say you are explaining it very well step by step, good luck in your business !
Although I have been working on my own equipment for 52 years, I learn something on every video. Thank you so much for making all this knowledge public. Some of these procedures are not needed often. If you buy good equipment and store it without drying out, some engines can go for 20 years before requiring fuel service. This causes users like me to have very little experience in replacing fuel lines! Thanks again!
Excellent tutorial, great specific parts & placement details. I can follow your instructions because they were expertly explained. Thank you!
Great video, as always! THANK you! And as an aside, I once had a pair of haemostats just like the ones you showed in the intro. In the mid 1970s, I was a bank alarm system technician, and used them for "shorting" telephone wire pairs at the police station where monitoring was done, and I would proceed to the bank location where I would check for continuity. Well, the last time I did that, I didn't get continuity, so I returned to the police station to troubleshoot further. Some dirty cop had *stolen* them!!
I quit my job soon after. LOL! Stay well!
This is the best small engine channel on u tube thank you.
Just fixed my blower thanks to your great instructions!
Thank you!
Excellent detailed instructions, you're my go to for small engine repairs !
That was the best descriptive video Ive seen. I had my fuel lines crossed. Thank You
I'm retired and took up small engine mechanic-ing about 4 years ago. I've seen lots of what you are showing, but the old dog learned 2 new tricks with this video. 1) "short sux". I have a purge primer as a reference with the attached hoses labeled. I don't need that anymore. 2) Inserting fuel lines - I've been cutting a short point on the fuel line in order to get it started into the tank and fighting with reaching the end in the tank. It's long points for me for. And I am embarrassed to think that I didn't figure that one out...
I would trust my equipment with you. Very knowledgeable and you make it look easy.
Wow. Thank you for being so clear. Probably the best instructional video watched. I'm ready to get into it now!
Your knowledge is amazing! Better then all us guys. I’m in love
Just fixed my Husqvara leaf blower. I watched your video, ordered the parts, and it works great! Really liked the video. It was simple and straightforward and you gave some great tips. Thanks!
More impressed by you with each video. Thanks for the time and effort you put in to each one. You’re charming as well so all us small engine simps pay attention. Ron is a lucky man. :)
Good step by step instructions. There's one aspect I would suggest to protect the plastic screw hole threads during reassembly. Most people just start running the screws in clockwise without first lining up the screw threads with the original threads in the hole. This will chew up those plastic threads and eventually with repeated dismantling and reassembly the screws will not tighten. If you put the screw in and then turn it counterclockwise, it will take one full turn or less, you will feel the screw threads seat and lineup in the original hole threads with a little click and the screw will drop just a small distance into the hole. This now means that your original plastic screw hole threads are lined up with the metal screw threads and you won't mess up the threads in that plastic. It's not a bad idea to use this method on the metal screws and threads found on the pull rope housing also. This will save you the possibility of cross threading the metal components.
I always do the "turn CCW 'til it clicks over the thread edge" on spark plugs and oil plugs, too
I will not use power tools to put anything to geather and after watching the ( pro) use them I know there damage the equipment 😊
@@philliphall5198 just a little additional information, I will use a battery screwdriver once I've aligned the screws with the original threads and turned the screw manually about half to one full turn to test the alignment. If the test proves successful, if there are only a few screws I'll do them all by hand but if there are a bunch of them I will then use a battery operated screwdriver with an adjustable clutch set really low to run them all the way in and then tighten them by hand. I use a German torque method, guten tight. LOL
THANKS Bre!!! I have the 125B and it had this exact problem! I didn't replace the carb but did an extensive cleaning of it. It too would only run on choke. This vid got my blower going full speed again!!!
I've had a dead Husqvana blower for some time and so glad I didn't throw it away. I had replaced some of the fuel line once before but then had problems again where it wouldn't run and just put it up. Then I saw this video. I ordered the complete kit that she recommends and followed along with the video. Took it outside for the moment of truth and it fired right up. There was only one thing that was a little difficult for me and that was getting the new grommet to click into the fuel tank. I ended up taking the whole tank out where I could get some downward pressure to push the grommet in place. Thank you Chickanic! Great instructions.
Spot on video! Exactly how you said it would be. From the filter laying in the tank, to the hemostats at Harbor Freight which is a good addition to my tool box. Blower runs perfect. Thanks so much!
Hi just found your video the other day I have watched it three or four times and I changed my carburetor and my leaf blower last year by watching a video on it not yours it has never run good sense always started but stoped again watching your video I believe I crossed the fuel lines and you set me straight it now works well thank you so much for what do you do you are a very lovely lady I will always be a follower❤❤❤
Great job as always. Thanks for the easy to follow details and instructions.
You're a goldmine of information. Cheers!
Great video, thank you for being as informative as you were. As a “newbie” dyi-er, I’m looking for as much help as I can get.
Wow I just picked up one of these with the Same issue. You’re video is awesome. It makes me feel really confident. Very descriptive great detail. Thank you.
Nice job and thanks for the demo . You are very good at this and I appreciate your help and guidance
You’re an awesome teacher.
Bre, thank you for another great video. You definitely save us Time Money and Frustration.
ThankYou so much for this AND All your diagnostic, Very detailed videos. My timing was perfect for this one as I've the same Husq. 125B With the same problem! Ordered & received the carb kit, installed it per your exact instructions And wahlah !!! She started 3rd pull & purrs like New. Thanks again Ma'am for your support.
Old mechanic < N. C. PA, USA
Love the way U explained everything,GREAT VIDEO!!!!
appreciate the clear step by step procedures for all the repairs , she never skips a step 👍✌
Thank you!
At Husky service training I was taught to turn course threaded screws in plastic in reverse until you feel it engage the existing threads then tighten. Supposedly keeps you from cutting new threads each time. Although a experienced mechnic will know when that is happening. You've taught me some new methods. Thanks 😊
Good practice when threading any fasteners together if your worried about cross threading.
We experienced mechanics do this, too. It's not an amateur thing.
Thanks so much for the great vid!! Easy to follow, produced and paced well. My blower is running perfectly now :)
I admit to being a clean freak when it comes to this type equipment. The first thing I would do is clean before I even started. Then I would clean each part that I remove. It may not help the running but it sure makes things pretty when I'm done reassembling. Great instructional videos here. Keep up the good work.
Hey chickie, came across your format a few weeks ago, and have learned more from a beautiful woman and also with the smarts in mechanics. Love it keep up the good work!
I puchased the carborator kit with prime bulb and hoses attached and ready for install, from Amazon, $44.66, no cutting. Great job Chickanic!!! Thank You
All I can say is you hell of a small engine chicanic. Really enjoy watchin you work great video. Thanks for sharing
Great video - Love the tips! Great instructions to follow!
Thanks for this great video. Finally got my 125b blower running
THANK YOU!!! I just got mine running today and it is doing the same thing! I’ll be ordering a new kit. Thanks again!
Hi Chickanic..This is the best video that I've seen that you so thoroughly demonstrated! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us! You took great pains in detail showing how to connect those small gas lines. I have 2 Husqvarna blowers, one of them was given to me by my neighbor. I have noticed that the battery powered blowers just don't have the power and indurance like the gas powered ones . I have a very large easement and the battery powered one doesn't do the job before I have to replace the battery.. You are an excellent teacher and small engine Chicanic!
Thanks just did mine and works great. Plus your very good looking to watch! Was very through and well explained. Saved me some $$. Great job thx.
Runs like a hot damn. Great instruction, I’ve learnt something watching this, and thank you for taking your time to upload this.
wow, what a great well explained video..TY for posting this 👍🙂
Wow! Amazing fantastic tutorial. My case the company that hired me wanted me to throw the 125B away! As the type of human that I am it did not happen.
The company had purchased a back pack blower for me (without consulting me). I hate it so when one of their sister properties was been cleaned I found the blower (125B) and kept it.
Yes, the blower has the same issues. I replaced the fuel lines and now I am thinking I switched them. Young lady your a life saver.
Thanks for your time and effort in sharing your knowledge and skills. I have subscribed 😊
Your channel is absolutely invaluable! Frikkin outstanding. 💯💯💯
Beautiful hard working woman. Love it 👍❤️
Where were girls like you when I was growing up? I really enjoy your clear explanations of your repairs. Happy I found your channel. You are awesome!
I have one of those blowers. That video will come in handy down the road. Thanks!!
That's a great video and a cheap repair if you do it yourself. Great step by step guide.
You are awesome, girl👍. Thanks for all the great tips.
I'll send you something that was a great video your the real deal
You are bad kiddo. I just fixed a blower thanks to you. I appreciate you a bunch.
Thanks so much! Love your channel. I watched the whole show and don't even own a blower.
I have a poulan blower that had a similar problem. however it was only 2 years old when it would not run at full throttle. turns out i had to buy a special carb adjustment tool ( a whopping 4 bucks!!!). a slight turn to richen it up and she runs like a champ! love all your videos!
I watched thus video and bought a complete kit for my 125B Blower from Amazon. what a great kit less than 20 bucks it came preassembled! all the lines came feed through a new rubber plug for the top of the fuel tank. the fuel lines were all cut to length with the fuel filter already attacked. just pull out the black plug on top of the tank and feed in the new plug and lines. the Fuel Bulb is already attached leaving a short and long fuel line, the short one goes' on the bottom of the carb and long on top. it comes with everything including Air filter, Spark plug, fuel filter and all lines precut easy install.
You always help Bre
Very beautiful mechanic!!
Wonderful and informative tutorial. Keep up your awesome work and videos.
Very well explained, great detail. Thank you!
A good guide, very comprehensive 👍
Great work!! I’ve got an echo blower that’s only two season old but it’s had an problem being able to run at full speed consistently. It will but only after I’ve used it for a bit but still isn’t consistent. Really frustrating because I love my echo equipment. Keep making the great videos!!
Really like your videos, very informative and easy to follow. Thanks
Hi Richard how are you doing today. Hope you are having a good weather 😊
Well Bree another great job on the repair of a small engine 😃
Incredibly helpful video as always! I have this blower and now I actually WANT it to fail so I can follow along with this video! :)
