New boat has MOJO/ MORETON BAY

- First Bay trip in the boat was a success!
Had a plan of chasing some pelagics as its that time of year. I finally found some but got very distracted by a big school of my pet Jewies.
12kt northerly gave the new boat a good test on its handling. Like any new boat, it's best to build confidence in everything before heading away on a trip or going too far. Fair to say I'm pretty confident to do some further afield fishing very soon.
Great vid once again Peter. The fish busting up behind you as you were talking about chasing pelagics further north was classic 😂

Is that a bay that you fish in ….looks very calm …deck seem high for an offshore boat.. I’m in Texas our bays are very shallow but the gulf can be fairly rough not easy finding a boat that can do both well

1/2oz 3/0 headhunter on the 3.5 rt shad and 3/4 7/0 Daiwa jighead on the 6” fork flex.

hi , I am curious to know how you choose jig weight . I noticed you used a 3/4 oz , that would be a deep water weight for me with a fair run maybe 40 m for snapper?
Don’t need a slow sink for Jew. Better the fish heavier and get the lure accurately to the fish hey.
Never understood how guys can leave their boats on spotlock then stash the trailer..Ive got a brand new MK and It still decides to do random things..wouldnt trust it without also being onboard with the remote

Mostly looking for the fish themselves as they move around from structures in the bay.
