Can it be changed without an ATF oil filter?
I changed the oil without a filter on 60 mi avert 1500 mi the oil is black not red
Meron small fine brush stainless and or copper sa Ace hardware think better
Would this be the same for a 2009 Kia Rio 1.6L inline 4. It’s a 4 speed automatic.
@@70m65 I've heard people say its actually better to change only the fluid on high mileage vehicles. Something about dis lodging sludge and clogging the pathways.

Once i saw you put that thick layer of silicon on the oil pan i turned of the video.
After you tight the bolts all that silicon will be squeezed and mix with the transmission oil inside the pan even if you using the torque wrench and tight the bolts criss cross this will not prevent the silicon from mixing with the oil because before you reach the specific torque all that sealant will be inside the pan and this will cause a very big problem to the gearbox. you should have added a very thin layer and it will be more than enough if the sealant is a good quality.
Yes, you have point on that brother I agree. But I don't have any issue after installing with this car. It might thicker on video but believe me this is thin layer. Till now the owner of this car is s happy because no leak issue. Chill ✌️

Meron akong Kia Rio 2013 at never pa napalitan ng Transmission Filter. Laging ATF lang ang pinapalitan. Now ko lang nalaman na need din palitan pati filter.

Not exactly same transmission but on procedure yes is the same. Need to remove the pan and replace the filter.

That is front pan oil. The black color. Changing atf is similar on this video. The deference only your car has no deepstick. So when you remove the old atf better to take how many litter. So you can know how many litter you will fill.

hi Pavel, no this is not DCT. regarding with your car this is dual clutch transmission doesn't have oil filter like that. this is just like a manual transmission. thanks for reaching me.

Can someone please answer me firmly whether a mechanic can service my transmission of 2013 Hyundai Tucson without dropping down the the entire transmission? In other words are we able to replace the transmission filter too by just lifting the car and uninstalling the transmission oil pan? I was told with this car, Tucson you cannot replace the trans. filter through just uninstalling the pan
u can do it by just opening the drain bolt, but u need to clean filter each 5-6 years of work

I don't clean it i just wait to drop all old oil, for the surface that will in the gasket yes i do clean it using the cutter blade i just remove the old gasket silicon, the spare parts number is on video and kia and Hyundai use only the same shape of transmission filter you will not get wrong while buying. ill try to put subtitle this video

Prepare ka ng 3liters paps half Lt lang naman ang maiiwan sa torque converter.

Is it necessary to replace the filter or the gasket?
Is not necessary if you didn't reach the certain miles that requires of manufacturer.
Kia and Hyundai should replace every 35,000miles max of 50,000miles so if you have already reach on this miles you must replace the filter, otherwise your transmission will start to failed.
@@Macgarage08 my car is 2016 kia cerato 6-speed (they call it Forte in North America) with 50,000 km, I think it's the time to replace the transmission fluid but spare part guy told me the filter is internal and does not need to be replaced, is that true?

i am using Permatex 81180 Automatic Transmission RTV Sealant, make little tick and don't try to use other sealant you will get a back job. its happen me last 2year ago.

Hi please I need your help I bought my car at 60km and changed the oil without the filter. Now I at 97 km and the oil is black. Is it safe to change it with the filter or only oil until the oil became red and clean ? There are no problems in the transmission. Kia Rio 2015 1.4.
I have done many of these...Hate it when its 10 degrees outside and snowing and trying to put the pan back on.
I did ounce on my 98 subaru is almost 8degree, i keep for two days to make sure that the silicon is dry it well but unfortunately the leak still up. that's why now I use heat gun to dry it well.
Mark Warren would you happen to know if a 2008 Kia Sportage 4 cylinder has a pan that you could drop and a filter that can be changed or do they have internal filters or the screen type filter
@@earldavis694...I never worked on a Sportage before, But have other cars that had where the pan dropped and all I did was undo 2 or 3 small bots to take the screen out. But sorry I don't know about the Sportage itself.

Sobrang dami ng silycon tsaka dapat what gamitan ng power tool
sinadya ko talagang medyo ticker ang silicon, kasi pag manipis nag lealeak sya. this is for 50 cars that i did that so madami dami na siguro yun para sa tamanag expirence :). and i use power tools para mapabilis lang not to tight the bolt, i use still torque wrench :)
Why you use so much silicone bro?..it can damage the transmission if extra silicone from inside mix with oil

@@Macgarage08 sir nag palit kami ng engine support sa upper right , ung may oil na engine support toyota vios batman 2010 pero bfore un maalog na mkina tapos biglng nag hhigh rpm pag tumagal ng 30 mins nwawala tapos bblik hangang ngaun ganun parin xa malinis na ung maf sensir ay trortle body ano kaya tingin nyo sir may na damage pa kayang iba dahil sa pag alog ng mkina dakil sa nasira ang engine support , thank you sir sa npka responsive nyong channel
Well, engine support will not be connected sa issue NG pag taas NG rpm. May ibang issue Yan mainly Dyan Lang Yan sa may trottle body maaring sira ang vacuum solinoid or the tps sensor. Medyo mahirap I diagnose pag wala sakin unit. Try MO I PA computer and check minsan kasi may sira pero di nag checheck engine light dami na ako nag experience na ganun. And second PA relearn MO, hope makatulong PA update narin sir salamat.

Yes. Just use silicon gasket maker.
Even in original from kia they use silicon gasket only.
But if you like to use gasket you can buy after market in eBay or amazon

@@apnodoubt4333 ok i get it. i look for same car here, yes your correct there is no deeps tick but there is fill nuts still the the top of transmission close to gearshift mechanism. you need to remove your air filter housing.
I am sorry but this is the wrong way to do this job, for starters , where is the gasket?
If you don't use a gasket your transmission will fail, fluid will start leaking, besides you put on too much silicone sealant , it will overflow in the inside of the transmission thus pieces of silicone could mix into the transmission fluid and damage the fore mentioned system, you don't use silicone on the nuts, you must use thread glue specific for this type of job, ,another thing you are doing wrong is tightening the nuts it must be done in a criss cross pattern to a specific torque.
One more tip, when emptying the transmission fluid put all the fluid on a container , measure and refill the same quantity, if top off is needed do only slowly as necessary, DO NOT OVERFILL TRANSMISSION FLUID.
Thanks for the concern, but I am sure that you don't watch the vids from beginning to end. Because you don't see that I use torque wrench? And I tighten by squence follow the repair manual. And FYI the original of kia itself has no gasket, they use silicon.
