Oh yeah, the operator of this 5130 loves the cab. Very nice and comfortable machine to operate
such fine control over such a large machine. what a professional
Could've watched this for ages! well done mate.
Will never get tired of watching this type of action. Looking forward to getting home to Aus, and entering the construction/mining feild
It's the same control setup that you would find on a small Cat excavator. Foot pedals control the travel, two joysticks control the shovel functions and the clam is controlled by a trigger switch on the joystick to open and close it.
Great video man we could use some bigger iron like that in the limestone quarry I'm working at these days. lol
some good shit here!
Big Thanks to PaMining for keeping all us Operators going with great vid after great vid. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
Impressive machine!
she's a beast FO sho!!! nice one as allways justin!
hope you stay safe around that equipment. sometimes unexpected can happen
Was this in Summerset or Cambria county? I seen one sitting in a field close to the flight 93 memorial.
Man those are big rocks, and that's such a cool shot too, on board. Thanks for sharing.
I appreciate that you are an expert in this field, but I just wanted to add a generalization which may be useful for the "general public":
General purpose machines have wide tracks to reduce the ground pressure, this makes them more stable on soft ground commonly found on building and greenfield sites. This machine spends all it's life on hard rock in known conditions.
Also wide tracks would make this machine unstable if rocks get under the tracks while traveling.
Thanks. Shovels are fun to watch
Sweet machine...more walkarounds!
Justin , do the operators maintain their machines daily grease , oil check fluids , fuel , etc , or does the companies have Oliers & mechanics that do that between shifts ? i use to have oilers and mechs , so other the clean the windows etc , i just operated that all . great video , thanks .
I’d say the company has oilers and fuelers, the operators clean their own windows. That’s the way the company I work at is.
Great video. Moves quite quick for its size. Nice operating.
great video of that monster machine Justin
Lmao, thanks man
Great operator!
Great video.
Kyle
Good video.
Loved it.
Hendrik
The cab on that machine is huge! That front glass looks like a storefront or something. Great video.
this is a lot faster then the cable ones
i have a 5130 die cast in my diorama
They sure do give you alot of freedom there Justin, where I work at Syncrude the security is insane, dont know if its to keep poeple out or to keep us locked in lol.... Another great video by the way.
Yeah he's really good
Thanks
I always do
Let me guess, Hemet CA. East dam project......
Jim Vet No. Surface coal is Pennsylvania. I don't film in California.
I know and believe it or not, this machine has the wide ones from what I'm told! But you have to remember these arn't construction excavators. Wide track pads are no good for big shovels.
The worst machine Caterpillar ever made, along with the 5230.
We had two up in Scotland, think they belonged to Cobex Mining
